Hey guys, after having a Nissan Exa for the last year I have taken the leap and purchased a modded R32.

Here are the mods that are known, I am sure there are many that are unknown:

1990 Nissan Skyline R32 Gts-t coupe with RB25DET engine upgrade and TRUST TD-06 top mount turbo

5 speed

134,604 kms

White

RB25DET engine upgrade

TRUST TD-06 top mount turbo kit

FMIC

Strut tower brace

Airpod

Aftermarket exhaust

Aftermarket steering wheel

Aftermarket shift knob

RECARO driver's seat

Here are the engine bay pics:

engine_2.JPG

engine_3.JPG

P.S is there any way of telling what size the exhaust housing is from the model number and version? (I have seen there are many versions around of the Trust TD06)

Also are there any other mandatory support mods that would come expected with running the TD06? (eg. fuel pump, injectors etc. etc.)

Cheers,

Greg

Awesome!!!

Show us the rest of the car too man.

I would imagine you have an upgraded AFM, injectors, fuel pump and clutch with that turbo.

No more pics for the moment. but the engine bay looks pretty.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear..

What sought of power is something like this capable of?

Is is P plater friendly :P lol

Greg

the greddy blue plate on the turbo should give you an indicator on what variation that turbo is...

Its generally the first line, it should say something like TD06-20G or T67-20G or something along those lines...

that turbo should be good enough for 260-290rwkw's on a stocker RB25 motor, however i would be careful now and see what computer, injectors, and fuel pump your running, because if its stock i would recommend to get it checked out to see if its leaning out or pinging...

Good combo but, if your into drifting thats the perfect combo!

awesome man ..i'll keep an eye out for ya around hoppers/werribee .. i'm in hoppers

looks like u have z32 afm ..going by teh orange tag its got....

should have plenty of poke ..depends on how much boost u running and what injectors are on board.

at a guess ..comfortabley u should see ..if the supporting parts are up to it ..250rwkw.. maaaaaaaaybe.. less maybe more .. depends on its tune ..... wouldnt try and push much more into it if its standard bottom end.. unless its been rebuilt already

nice purchase btw...

Yeh should be alright.... I'm around that area so if you see me say hi, ill be coming to some meets when the car lands...

lwells - dont want to give too much away, car is white, front bar does look off color so we'll have to get that fixed up but apart from that it doesnt look too bad body wise. With the engine mods for the price it was quite nice...

Greg

Ohh... estimates of 1/4 mile times?

Would high 12's be achievable?

Greg

EDIT: Im use to 1.6 and 1.8ltr FWD cars so anything quicker than 18 seconds is a bonus.. lol

damn nice ride, a few of wer talking about this car today at our meeting and what mods it most likely had. looks nice and should fang along. it well exceeds the power to weight rule in vic. if your caught with this hope you have some quick plans for a engine swap or an engineered cert or something. or are u joking about the p plate comment?

No joke about the P plate comment. I turned 19 last month. The car wont be a daily driver so it will be left for sunday drives.

What did use come up with, regarding mods? What do you think?

Do you think it will be hard to get the motor engineered for the car?

Greg

P.S I do expect it to exceed power to weight, im not that dumb.. lol

and im sure it'll get into the 12s no problem one its tuned for our fuel etc

I'll see what management it has. If it doesn't have anything special then I'll get a Power FC for it.

If it is using stock ECU or piggyback who is best to take it to, to get it to run on PULP?

Cheers,

Greg

good work. it will be a much more fun car than the exa. judging by the pics I am going to go out on a limb and guess that it's this one: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/?/au/...sp?StockID=3288

Ahhhaaaa; good spot richard!

Didn't really want to give too many details away regarding the car.

Ohwell...

Can't wait for it to arrive now and we'll get the real modifications under way :)

Can't wait to go out for a cruise with all the Melbournians and wouldnt mind a track day

Thanks for all the info and opinions.

Any more welcome

Cheers,

Greg

Looks good mate, great number of km's for the year e.g. < 9,000 / year..

Whens it meant to be landing?? make sure you get everything checked out on it.. take it easy for a bit than get stuck into it, specially if your coming from a fwd exa - > rwd r32 with a huge amount of power/weight..

get used to it before you start bein silly..

apart from that - looks awesome.. hope it all goes well..

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
