E_Lu-SHuN
yeh its restricted, i dont push it when fully closed but you can notice the difference in response. Its great though if you drive pass cops halfway.... i didnt really do it half way...its either OPEN or SHUT for me Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81589-apexi-ecv/#findComment-1480977 Share on other sites

danh
i heard u have to turn the little knob thingy like a million times to get it to open and close, is this the case? and is it adjustable?? also don't u have to cut a bit out of the exhaust system so it fits?? E_Lu-SHuN
No you don't have to turn the knob... you can pull it yeh, you need to go to an exhaust shop so they can place it in for you...the rest is easy Nengun has them Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81589-apexi-ecv/#findComment-1481806 Share on other sites
danh
just checked nengun u can get this trick little electronic controller that looks like the Apexi turbo timer but actually controls the ecv, you can adjust manually or set it to open at certain rpm so u can set it to open fully at say 5k rpm, imagine the roar! just like the ferrari 360 modena's exhaust system.. pretty damn sweet! Jago
is there any restriction with it fully open? (at all?) Is flow decreased at all with this installed? If not, im gonna get rid of the resonator and just stick this thing on, or get them to cut open the resonator and weld up a 3" pipe going straight through it so it looks like it's the real thing. Yes i know im a sneaky bastard Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81589-apexi-ecv/#findComment-1489662 Share on other sites

Jago
Im intrested in one of these 2! Just waiting for a cop to pull me up and see my cannon and say "defect time!" Then ill get one I'm sure mine is worse than yours. I'll have to show you sometime I'd rather have it in-place and then see the look on the cop's face when he sees how quiet it is, saves doing it later on once the defect notice is given, and saves you going through the whole process of getting it cleared up. satanic
I've got a resonator on my system now... it makes the sound like a deep drone unlike some systems I hear going around. Does the resonator do anything but reduce noise? Will it reduce the power gained? If it does, then this ECV might be the option to go after Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/81589-apexi-ecv/#findComment-1502874 Share on other sites
