hahah this is funny,

I've spent about 10 mins trying to think of something to say.....but words fail me. I'd be very interested to see a commodore that you could make as efficient, powerful and handle as well as a skyline on the same budget.

Plus theres always the undeniable fact that skylines look oh so much better!!

EDIT: Just realised he's 21 and lives in Perth. I wish i didn't waste my time replying now, he's got no hope

well if you want to get back on topic you said your belief was

The reason why, is that my beleif has always been that holdens will get the same performance, for a lower price when compared to a jap car.

ive challenged you to find me a holden that has greater performance than my car in ONE aspect, acceleration, deceleration, or handling for the same price, and so far youve been unable to come up with the goods

stop being an ignorant internet troll, your wasting all our time with your idiocy

holdens are inferior, and unless you present some evidence your comments are not worth anyones time

like i said guys, i'll prove you wrong, when i prove you wrong. Until then, back to the original subject please. I've gone as far as i'm willing to with the side-conversations so i'm stating now that this will be my last post on these forums if you can't keep your opinions to yourselves. I asked a simple question and i want a simple answer. Thank you =]

I thought you were a know all , how came you don't know that ? Like you know the tare weight of a stock HQ V8 ,1800 kg ? Street legal and running under 8 seconds 1/4 mile ?

With a stock n/a 308 to top it all off . You want people to take you serious ?

What a wanker ?

I can tell the fastest thing you have driven would be a stock HQ Holden capable of 18 second 1/4 mile downhill with a tail wind .

....

I'm not even going to bother with the ****ing morons in these forums anymore -.-

I NEVER SAID IT WAS A STOCK 308 PULLING 8s FOOL!

God damn, i've never met anyone so retarded -.-

Goodbye all

You are the only retarded moron here . You probably can't even drive .

Hey all,

I'm new to the forums, linked here by a mate who was trying to prove that there are skylines that'll do under 8s. The reason why, is i told him i know of a certain HQ that also does under 8s. Now for you un-enlightened in the Holden area of car ownership, a HQ is a very early tank-like model of kingswood, and you can definately expect them to weigh more than a skyline, or even the latest commodore.

They weight 1800 KG and for all their weight and the fact that it's using a decades old 308 engine, i wanted to know how that compares to this day + ages brand new technology. Now that i know that some skylines are in fact done up to be 8s or better cars, the thing i want to know about now, is cost. The reason why, is that my beleif has always been that holdens will get the same performance, for a lower price when compared to a jap car. Not that i don't like jap cars, to be perfectly honest the 300zx fairlady z is one of my favourites... more because of the attraction than the performance lol. However, i am a proud australian, and i'm sick of hearing jap car lovers bag the crap out of my beloved holdens, which i know can already can quite easily keep up with most modded cars out these days.

So can you all do me a big favour, especially enthusiasts like FORCEFED RB26DETT, and post a little information please? I don't need specs, just a rough price range, and what speeds you pull down the 1/4 would be great thx

Hey, I just read your message and would be happy to send you a video of the GTR doing a 7.95 at 181mph (292km/h), just show me where to send it and it's yours.

I like the 308 in the VP idea. Holdens had 304's from VL until the LS1 and General Motors had control (and ownership) of Holden for many years before the LS1 was introduced.

You don't even know your own cars.

I would have thought you could afford an interstate phone call by the age of 21. Have you got a job yet?

I think you are a wanker sir. Post 25 was probably your orgasm and post 27 kleenex time.

    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
