GTRgeoff
Was some new space age polymer inserted to support the WANG!! Apparently having 2 cars for track was sooo much WANG that it completely wrecked the back. Now I think I might have to play catch up in the club champs by bringing 2 cars and running 2-3 classes RWD mod, AWD std and mod Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82225-gtrgeoffs-engine-rebuild/page/3/#findComment-1518335 Share on other sites

GTRgeoff
Have had a bit. Absolute crap last night. Was taken off Brufen for dizziness, and by 10pm my back was so swollen i couldn't lie down on my back or front, and my right side. By 3am I went and shoved some Bugesic in, which is the same as Brufen/Nurofen but no dizziness. Really helps with inflammation. Amazingly I'm even better today. Had the staples out yesterday and the nurses are amazed how good the closure was. Nice to get the best neurosurgeon in town Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82225-gtrgeoffs-engine-rebuild/page/3/#findComment-1519600 Share on other sites

meggala
glad to hear the surgury went well. backs are shocking things to go. mine is calcified for 3/4 of its length and fused solid so I have a rough idea were you have been. glad to hear someone has a surgical option. enjoy it and dont abuse your new found mobility. meggala Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82225-gtrgeoffs-engine-rebuild/page/3/#findComment-1521805 Share on other sites
GTRgeoff
Crap Meg, that's really bad stuff. I had to fight with my doc for 12 months to go to the surgeon, then I changed to a new one and was in surgery 2 weeks later. TurboX
Well team, I saw my back mechanic yesterday (professor of Neurosurgery at Monash or somewhere) and he recommends a long overdue rebuild.SNIP explains why I keep falling over and losing control of my left leg in right hand corners in the car. I will also get a spacer to stop the upper vertebrae crushing down on the disc as well. I'll be in Epworth for the whole weekend and then transferred by ambulance to RAAF Williams near Laverton to our Military hospital there. SNIP So all in all it is a bit of a relief, but I get to stay in Vic a bit longer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shoulda joined the premium service in the first place mate!! (RAAF!) The WRAAF's will iron you out and have you feeling like a new man... Better not tell the missus. Pretty sneaky way of getting out of having to bring Roys GTR cams to the meeting for me though. I guess there will be no excuses for not shaving a few secs off the lap times now then? ;-) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82225-gtrgeoffs-engine-rebuild/page/3/#findComment-1523530 Share on other sites
