Just admit to your lies. I sure as hell wouldnt take my car anywhere near you and the business where you 'tune', can you tell us where this business is so we can stay well clear?

O.K, O.K. You got me, I don't have a car, I'm five years old and I'm going for my L's tomorrow. The business is called Woomera day care center, thats where I tune. Sorry, but you guys have been wankers from the start. You're ridiculous statements just to create argument, pathetic attempts at stabbing at me. Honestly, get a life your on a forum for gods sake! I just realised how gay this really is. You are all tossers as far as I'm concerned. GET A LIFE!

I don’t get it, I mean the point to coming into this forum and crapping on about your car?!?! Personally I don’t give a crap about your car and the power it makes. Why are you trying to convince people it’s the worlds fastest XR6T, without even informing us of how you have done this? I know you never said it was the worlds fastest XR6T but this is basically what you are claiming.

If you are such a professional what are you doing talking yourself and your car up on an internet forum? If you were the legend you claim to be wouldn’t other people be spinning crap about you, rather than you having to do it?

Roy has said he will come and race you. Are you going to accept the challenge? I think not.

Where is a video of you doing 300+ in the Ford? Where is some footage of a quarter mile run?

Without evidence we don’t care if you can do a million miles per hour, or if you have more torque than the titanic.

“Maybe you should start talking with me, instead of at me. Just a suggestion.” Like I said we have all asked for evidence which you have not or cannot produce. Roy said he would come to your local track and blow your doors off, you ignored the challenge. Sounds like BS to me mate!

O.K, had enough. Even though this is around the money I have spent I don't care what your opinions are. I don't care if you think this or that should be done, there is no point to even make it sound like you know what your talking about because in front of me, your just making an ass out of yourself, no offence. Yeah right, a 4.0L Six Cylinder Turbo could never make under 400rwkw on a stock engine... loosen your grip mate, you're tugging it too hard. I'll admit, you guys know alot more than I thought you would know but you are what's known as enthusiasts. I do this for a living o.k? Don't even try and tell me what I should do to my car to make that kind of power, this is my profession. I am a diagnostics technician and a tuner. I'm not very interested in posting in the tech section because that is why I get away from work, and again, you guys know more than I thought you would for enthusiasts but a select few of you keep challenging the power levels I'm making. I keep my mods to myself (so I'm not going to list any real ones) but I definetly have done this extremely cheaply so don't bother trying to tell me how much money I've spent either, that's just ridiculous. I appreciate the people who aren't always questioning everything and are just happy that I'm enjoying my car, I notice that on this thread no-one else is opening up with the mods done to their car or the money spent because sometimes it is best kept to yourself, and you don't leave yourself open to criticism if someone doesn't agree. So once again I don't care if you want to be so childish and annoying but you have to ask yourself, what is the point? I won't list mods, I won't record videos of dangerous driving or any driving for that matter, because I don't care if you don't believe me, I have nothing to prove to you. I have told you how much money I have spent, and I'm not going to lie to keep you happy. Maybe you should start talking with me, instead of at me. Just a suggestion.

Cheers.

I am sorry you feel that people aren't taking you seriously, unfortunately you are a victim of your own hubris.

You made statements that people have questioned you on because some of us are genuinely interested in what you have done and how you have got there.

Unfortunately you decided to understate what had been done to your car so as to make us think that for $3500.00 that we too could turn an XR6T into the same performance car that yours is.

As for your statement that you aren't going to lie, well I must admit you have confused me because your very first post in this thread you claimed that you had only spent $3500.00 on your car, then it changed to $4400 then to $6500 and that there were only minimal mods done, yet after further questioning we find that the mod list seems to be a bit more than that as well. Realistically for someone who doesn't have access to trade rates and the ability to do all the work themselves, it would cost the average Joe considerably more to get the car that you have.

It is the "boy who cried wolf" syndrome you are experiencing and you are getting upset because people don't know whether to believe you or not.

There is a saying "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

All the same, congratulations on your car as I am sure a lot of care and attention has gone in to it and you should feel proud. I really like the XR6T and know that it has buckets of potential.

In retrospect it would have been nicer and you would have received a lot more respect if you had been upfront about it from the start.

p.s I am serious that you should call one of the performance car magazines as I am sure they would love to do a story on your car.

13 pages and we're still going, lol.

Seriously XR6T until you come clean, there isn't gonna be much in term of sympathy, even though, I have to say, you "might" have a decent car, but it is far from what your claiming with the amount spent and the end result is somewhat optimistic.

Let look at it this way, if someone else came on here and said they bought a R32gtr and spend $5000.00 on it and got 800+hp, bust the 200mph barrier at the same time on a stock motor.

He would not only be banned from here, but his son and grandson would be bannished from these these forums.

HAHA but I just cracked one million miles per hour!

It’s just stupid to get upset when people are doubtful, of course we are going to doubt the claim, that’s what people do. That’s why you back up ridiculous claims with some kind of evidence. For example I am still working on editing that one million rwkw dyno graph.

Falcon XR6T,

Its little white lies that has got people questioning your credibility.

From that start you should have stated what you do, how much it has cost you and how much it would cost some one off the street.

People knowing you work for or own a performance shop will then not so much worry about 'secret' mods as we all know the falcon xr6t is a new car still to be fully explored.

I guess this is why you have been the laughing stock in this thread, you haven't been straight down the line with us. Its simple respect.

Mate, i hate to say it, but your the only one making an ass out of yourself on this forum. If you actually looked through my posts, you would have noticed the small part saying that i own an XR6T. Im running 300+rwkw and i know what needs to be done to the cars to get the power up, and how much power the engines will handle before you find pistons flying out the side of your block.

You say we should try talking to you, whats the point. You already stated that you wont disclose what mods you have done to your car. Im more then happy to discuss XR6 T modding options but if your going to make radical claims, you need to back it up with some specs/figures. Needs to be a 2 way convo mate, we cant talk to you if all your doing is throwing various peices of info (which i may add aren't consistant).

With all this being said, lets try this from the top. If i may ask, what are you running in terms of computer in your car. Are you running one of the piggy backs (ie, unichip), the edit, or have you gone stand alone? (there you go, im talking to you, not at you.....your turn)

PS (just to justify why i question some of the mods/pricing you mentioned etc)- you are absolutely correct, a 4.0l turbo engine, especially one with a GT35/40 can make 400rwkw, however, like i said previously, there is no chance of running that amount of power reliably without rebuilding the engine. Further more, if your running a manual car, you can forget about the manual T5 holding that much power, so your up approx $6200 for a Mal wood T56 (plus your clutch). If its an Auto, again, you need to get the box rebuilt to hold the power, again, thats approx 4K (which from memory includes kevlar bands). Now with all this being said, you would need something to run the power, lets see, edit is approx $1200 from memory, uni chip would be $1650. Id say you would need larger injectors and more then likely a fuel pump. I should add, the prices i am quoting are retail, i understand you own your own performance shop so you get things at trade price, but it all adds up.

One more thing, a mate of mine picked up his T from a tuning house in syd 2 weeks ago. The car is going in for its final tune tomorrow and is expect to hit about 360 - 380rwkw. He spent approx 18K including the rebuilt engine and box to achieve this. Comment??Thoughts???

I own the above ride and with the mods I have done can achieve 360rwkw in road trim. I have pulled an 11 at WSID and will be back to work on that but reading the above posts about the 340km 4k taxi just makes me wonder who the hell cut back on this guys dosage and let him post.

I love my XR6 but lets be real can they crack 300km/h sure can, thanks APS. Can they pull 9's over the 1/4 mile without changing the turbo sure can. But all these things cost a $ and regardless of how much of a trade discount you get there is no way you have a car that can do what you say for $4400, or is it $5500, or is it $6500... sheesh stick to one story mate.

If you do have a car that can do all that, prove it I would love to have some more mods for mine.

Regards

M G

ford and holden cant really be called a performance car unless its 8cyl.. and super charge is even better... japs... 4 or 6 turbo...

but also both jap and aussie cars have there sports range and there family range and econobox range.

Why not ?? Whats the difference between ford using a 6cyl turbo motor and skylines using 6cyl turbo motor's. Only diff is one is 4 door one is 2, however they are both quick (with a few mods). Doesnt it therefore classify it as a performance cars ??

IE, Master G's XR6 Turbo ran an 11 second pass this wed passed at WSID. Thats some serious performance in my book :P

Just a quick side note, not sure if you guys recal but i think it was wheels mag (possibly motor) that clocked an APS modded XR6 Turbo doing 307km/h (307 from memory, to be safe lets say 300+).

Falcon XR6T, out of curiosity, your sig states Last Dyno Run: 339kW, 1242.1Nm. Isnt 1242Nm a bit high. My XR6 Turbo has 303rwkw and only 790Nm. I dont see how your managing to pull so much torque. Also, if you dont mind, what sort of mods are you running on your car? If your engine bay is whats in your avatar then i know its not an APS phase 3, as your intake manifold is std and your airbox is still there. Phase 2, even with a Phase 3 cooler can get you that much power, however you would have had to rebuild the engine to keep that power reliable, as the std pistons/rods etc wont handle that much power and your bound to blow a motor.

Why do i ask you all this ?? End of the day, my Ford is fast, but mate, 4WD GTR will munch us off the mark. Sure we may catch it top end if it hasnt got much work done, but how many people do you know of that will run you to 180 - 200 clicks ??? Furthermore, put somebody in a GTR on the track that knows how to drive the thing, and as much as i hate to say it, we would have NO chance in keeping up to them around the corners. Maybe the straights, but we would get left behind around those twisties.

Dont get me wrong, i love my ford, and personally, i would never sell it for a GTR (mainly due to the fact that im going from new to old) however we still need to give credit where credit is due and these beasts (GTR's) can be dam quick.

As for the rest of you guys, I know this is a skyline forum and i do love my nissans (half the time im driving a 350Z, cant get enough of it), however again, give credit where credit is due. End of the day, an XR6 Turbo thats had an engine rebuild, APS phase 3 kit, Valve springs, modified Auto and a stally, along with some semi's will give alot of GTR's out there a scare in a straight line. On the track its a diff story, being a heavy car and all, but you guys have to admit that this car does have potential.

Anyway, my 10 cents worth.

*Puts flaming suit on* :worship:

wow finally somebody who is actually talking some sense...because the Bullshit meter has been off the clock for some time...

    • Update 3: Hi all It's been a while. Quite a lot of things happened in the meantime, among other things the car is (almost) back together and ready to be started again. Things that I fixed or changed: Full turbo removal, fitting back the OEM turbo oil hardlines. Had to do quite a bit of research and parts shopping to get every last piece that I need and make it work with the GT2860 turbos, but it does work and is not hard to do. Proves that the previous owner(s) just did not want to. While I was there I set the preload for the wastegates to 0,9bar to hopefully make it easier for the tuner to hit the 370hp I need for the legal inspections that will follow later on. Boost can always go up if necessary. Fitted a AN10 line from the catch can to the intake hose to make the catchcan and hopefully the cam covers a slight vacuum to have less restrictive oil returns from the head and not have mud build up as harshly in the lines and catch can. Removed the entire front interior just shy of the dashboard itself to clean up some of the absolutely horrendous wiring, (hopefully) fix the bumpy tacho and put in LED bulbs while I was there. Also put in bulbs where there was none before, like the airbag one. I also used that chance to remove the LED rpm gauge on the steering column, which was also wired in absolute horror show fashion. Moved the 4in1 Prosport gauge from sitting in front of the OEM oil pressure gauge to the center console vents, I used a 3D printed vent piece to hold that gauge there. The HKB steering wheel boss was likely on incorrectly as I sometimes noticed the indicator reset being uneven for left vs. right. In the meantime also installed an airbag delete resistor, as one should. Installed Cube Speed premium short shifter. Feels pretty nice, hope it'll work great too when I actually get to drive. Also put on a fancy Dragon Ball shift knob, cause why not. My buddy was kind enough to weld the rust hole in the back, it was basically rusted through in the lowermost corner of the passenger side trunk area where the wheel arch, trunk panel and rear quarter all meet. Obviously there is still a lot of crustiness in various areas but as long as it's not rusted out I'll just treat and isolate the corrosion and pretend it's not there. Also had to put down a new ground wire for the rear subframe as the original one was BARELY there. Probably a bit controversial depending on who you ask about this... but I ended up just covering the crack in the side of the engine block, the one above the oil feed, with JB Weld. I used a generous amount and roughed up the whole area with a Dremel before, so I hope this will hold the coolant where it should be for the foreseeable future. Did a cam cover gasket job as the half moons were a bit leaky, and there too one could see the people who worked on this car before me were absolute tools. The same half moons were probably used like 3 times without even cleaning the old RTV off. Dremeled out the inside of the flange where the turbine housing mates onto the exhaust manifolds so the diameter matches, as the OEM exhaust manifolds are even narrower than the turbine housings as we all know. Even if this doesn't do much, I had them out anyways, so can't harm. Ideally one would port-match both the turbo and the manifold to the gasket size but I really didn't feel up to disassembling the turbine housings. Wrapped turbo outlet dumps in heat wrap band. Will do the frontpipe again as well as now the oil leak which promted me to tear apart half the engine in the first place is hopefully fixed. Fitted an ATI super damper to get rid of the worn old harmonic balancer. Surely one of the easiest and most worth to do mods. But torquing that ARP bolt to spec was a bitch without being able to lock the flywheel. Did some minor adjustments in the ECU tables to change some things I didn't like, like the launch control that was ALWAYS active. Treated rusty spots and surface corrosion on places I could get to and on many spots under the car, not pretty or ideal but good enough for now. Removed the N1 rear spats and the carbon surrounding for the tailpipe to put them back on with new adhesive as the old one was lifting in many spots, not pretty. Took out the passenger rear lamp housing... what do you know. Amateur work screwed me again here as they were glued in hard and removing it took a lot of force, so I broke one of the housing bolts off. And when removing the adhesive from the chassis the paint came right off too. Thankfully all the damaged area won't be visible later, but whoever did the very limited bodywork on this car needs to have their limbs chopped off piece by piece.   Quite a list if I do say so myself, but a lot of time was spent just discovering new shit that is wrong with the car and finding a solution or parts to fix it. My last problem that I now have the headache of dealing with is that the exhaust studs on the turbo outlets are M10x1.25 threaded, but the previous owner already put on regular M10 nuts so the threads are... weird. I only found this out the hard way. So now I will just try if I can in any way fit the front pipe regardless, if not I'll have to redo the studs with the turbos installed. Lesson learned for the future: Redo ALL studs you put your hands on, especially if they are old and the previous owners were inept maniacs. Thanks for reading if you did, will update when the engine runs again. Hope nothing breaks or leaks and I can do a test drive.
    • No those pads are DBA too  but they have colors too. I look at the and imo the green "street" are the best.
    • I’m not sure what happened I told them about sonic tunes free OTS tune and the next the I know .. I was booted..   To funny
    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
