Standard internal Rb20 2 litre that is r32 spec , with a high flow vg30 turbo truck core front mount dump pipe. Some 'mines' ecu a few little mods pod etc, blitz boost controller 290 at the wheels.

I have hit some type of cut, Speed signal cut is the theory at the moment. the dyno graph was heading up still when the power was cut on me. This is on 18 psi. This was at barry's dyno, this arvo.

Enjoy :shake:

Hey this might sound like a stupid question but at what speed did u make peak power.I'm only asking because i had my car on the same dyno yesterday and the peak power and kmh dont add up

By the way top effort with your power output you have to be happy with 290rwhp well done:uh-huh:

Ok it made 304rwhp and 1650 lb torque running 1.08 bar i still didnt get to see my car running 1.25 bar i cant work out why it dont boost as hard on the dyno it must have something to do with load on the engine anyway he didnt do a tune we just put it on the dyno to see how it was running. Barry said he would like to pull a bit of fuel out of the fuel map and then i will see a bit more POWER i will go back in a few weeks once i have some more cash

yeah nice power there guys, specially from the RB20

a quick question.. FRIGGIN FOOT-POUNDS for torque.. WTF, i dont get it.. is it a straight forward linear conversion like HP-KW or is it logorithmic?

the reason i ask is on the aston martin website (checking out the vanquish after watching bond last night  ) it says the car has 400ft/lb = 541NM..

linear, that would give your car ~2200NM, where'as a LS1 is only 500NM or so.. i dont get it..

someone care to explain?

Shaun

    • Yes, I had ordered the spherical bushings at the same time as the rest. I have high hopes for the anti squat reduction kit.
    • Make sure you use the spherical bushes** on the lower arms, ifyou do that. ** at least, if not the whole replacement lower arm.
    • The tap for coolant flow control will be stuck open. It's not just the air door motor that dies.
    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)
