Hi all,

Cheers.

PS: Whats a good compression test result for a RB25? Mine was 130-135 on all cylinders..

G'day, welcome to Brisbane. Well the first thing to do is try and become a SAU QLD member that way you can get a discount card for a lot of your services. For car alarms etc, I'd recommend Northfield Car Sound. The service at their Moorooka store is pretty good. As for meeting up, there are Chilli nights (see the Chilleh Town! - Happy hour my ass... thread) but as far as cruising goes, it seems to be on a random basis. The really big ones like Massive Skylines Cruise to Lake Baroon was awesome (80+ Skylines).

80 skylines? Man that'd be enough to put any cop into a defect inspired seizure  Thanks for the reply choyda.

Thursday nights are fun when someone organises them - meet up, have a chat, go for a spirited drive, park somewhere, have a chat, go home.

JB hi fi do a perfectly good job with alarms and not too expensive, the bloke who installs them at the Kedron JB does heaps and knows what he is doing.

Enjoy owning the line!

NIce R33!!! love the kit!

friday nights lot of v8s and imports go up to harry's diner.. Usually decent on a clear night.

I think thursdays people go up to aspley shopping center

Then you have broadbeach car park on sat night. But I haven't beenthere for a while since the cops have been a pain.

post-9125-1124500198.jpgYes, very nice kit. Both understated and aggressive at once! Nice clean car. I would combine an alarm and separate immobiliser as one backs up the other! Hidden switch immobilisers are cheap and good insurance while the alarm should deter idiots but not those in it for the money. If they want it, they will take it. I've seen many reports of thieves using flatbed tow trucks and just driving off with the car to play with the alarm at their leisure. :P

Thanks for the kind words guys... I actually think the kits a bit over the top for my tastes but its growing on me. I beleive its a top secret front bar, veilside skirts and a trial rear bar but not 100% sure.

Working something out with chris (audioexpress) for the alarm... Its already got an immobiliser at the moment.

    • Crazy how good the aero bar looks compared to the stock one
    • Yes, but you will need to rewire all the things that are different. CAS, coils, etc. Yes, but there is no IAT. What? You can use anything you like. It just has to be hooked up so that it will work.     Or are you wanting to just plug and play without having to do any thinking/work?
    • It's been a little over a decade since I bought the S15. As I did on my socials, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from over the years further below. If you haven't realised, pretty much all the pictures in my posts are ones I've taken.  In terms of updates, I don't have pictures, but I acquired a near-perfect pair of fog lights from a friend of mine, so those got swapped in for the pair I already had. As for the JZX110, I just got it back from being fixed. A few weeks back, I was on the highway when I suddenly drove over something with very little time to react. It was probably the size of a soccer ball, but it went under the car and banged into the underside pretty loudly. I pulled over and realized the fluid leaking was fuel, and of course, it was right near my exhaust. This required replacing the fuel tank. If you happen to be in the same predicament, thankfully this car shares a fuel tank with the JZS171, IS200, and IS300, so it wasn't too painful to replace. Enjoy some pictures as mentioned above, including the carnage from the fuel tank and a bonus picture I came across which shows how ridiculously shiny the Bugels are on the 110. So many more pictures I could share of the S15 but this will do for today, enjoy.
    • Welcome.  Was the mistake the car, or joining us? 😏
    • Yeap, was me and the daughter getting coffee before heading to the new joint to measure up the fridge space and taking some pics that the solar installer wanted of the switch board
