when i drive on low boost 14 psi the power comes on more progressive, 231 rwkws on low does not feel like 231rwkws on high with the old gcg turbo, it feels less violent coming onto boost. on high boost 21psi theres nothing under 2500 rpm where it starts making boost , if you roll out in first gear or second gear with half throttle its very tractable but as soon as it hits 3000 to 4000 rpm the car will break traction . even though the car now with gt30 is 500rpm laggier than it was with gcg turbo , what it has lost down low it more than makes up for when she hits full boost! i think the car was a lot more tractable with high flow , but i think shes alot more fun to drive now.

with the addition of cams going from 260 rwkws to 277 doesnt seem like a whole lot but the car feels like a totally different car to drive, more midrange as well as top end. i thought that the 260 atwheels felt good but 277 rwkws is awesome. i cant wait to get some nittos and go drag racing at calder! i just think that the car is a lot of fun to drive now.

I dont know what setup you have but maybe you need to look into your suspension setup. Maybe your car is too low and this is shit for hooking up. I have a datto with this exact problem....230rwkw GT30 with 0.82 and the thing is useless in the first 2 gears... and i mean useless!!! In third it will spin all the way to 160 if I want it too.....but my car is TOO low and has bad CAMBER which will all change when I get round to it (slotting read end and raising it heeps). I have a stock 180sx and this thing hooks up very very well...to the point where it will on lift off and flat shift 1st to 2nd put you back in your seat and you can feel it in your neck (kinda like a wrex take off). Whats your suspension like?

i've got some drag semi's if you dont wanna buy a brand new set and just want em for a night of rental ;)

tried gtech 0 to 100 again , the best i could do was a 5.8 second , that was with 3000rpm side step the clutch feed the power in , back of a tad as wheels break loose then change gear and half to three quarter throttle and breaking traction completely from 80 to 100 km/h. got home decided to check tyre pressure and realised tyre pressure still set at clost to 45 psi from being on the dyno. will lower tyre pressure for better take off next time . surely i can at least pull a low 5 sec 0 to 100 on street tyres??? did anyone see the recent test on hoosier drag radials in the lateset zoom magazine out now. their 300rwkw soarer went from 12.4 to 11.6 quarter mile and they are only 225/50/16s!

Sorry to say but you need some serious tyres. I got Toyo RA1's and they are sensational. Before i could spin everytime in 2nd gear with my old tyres, but when these things are warm, i can get full traction in first gear.

Tried 0-100 and got 4.7 with only one run. I cant wait to hit the strip for a low 12.

more power but 0-100 times go backwards. :D

My little old RB20DET used to run 0-100 in around 5.2secs, the rb30det making slightly more power gets there in 5.9secs. :D

First gear is completely useless, the 5.9sec 0-100 is launching at 3000rpm in second. Diesel power.. :)

Time for some decent suspension?

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
