Honestlly im not comfortable in posting this info on the open forums.

Maby someone else might post the companys name under an alter-ego login or something. Because i used to work in this industry it may seem like a stab into their business. I dont work in this industry anymore but like i said no need to start trouble.

I just wanted to inform of the bad service and confusion I experenced on this topic.

yea, i have received the name of the company and although i have never experienced bad service myself, good and bad things have been said about them, as with any workshop. For anyone wondering the workshop we are talking about here is sort of like the abc without the b....figure it out for yourself, if the owner wants to sue me for slander or defamation, all i can say is, have fun!

i have only heard that the above mentioned company is expensive, thats the only negative comments i have heard before from people that have had work done by them. compared to some top sydney workshops prices though they aren't really that bad.

I would recommend P.I.T.S for tuning however.

a company can charge what ever they like for their services, but generally you find that companies who charge a premium for their services are also giving superior services at the same time.

Unfortunately in this case they went out of their way to call him back and to alienate a potential customer who has in turn told a few people about his experience, who in turn will tell a few more people and so on.

I know I have already related the story to at least 20 people, who are probably telling other people as well. As I said it's a small world and actions that this particular workshop has taken has cost them who knows how many potential customers.

Price has nothing to do with it but attitude certainly does and in this respect the saying is true "the customer is always right"

I just wanted to inform of the bad service and confusion I experenced on this topic.

yer, well thats pointless if you dont tell us who it is

it just leaves the rest of us likely to be burned

matt from pits is good, i think its like 150 an hr with the controller or 200 without, but its quicker without casue he has software for it, but dont qoute me on this.

also, it can take anyware from 1 to 4 hrs he said

Im in the process of gettin my Power FC installed

and taking it to F.I.S.T as i have had my car tuned there before

and was impressed with the results ,There service and there tuning capabilites .

I have dealt with workshops that i have had bad experiences with .

And not goin to them again as my time and money has been wasted .

Workshops that i have had good experiences with are F.I.S.T

Exotic Exhaust, Fitter at Autobarn slack creek, Right Price Exaust .

Thanks

Barret

I think i may just start a new thread as a holler to great workshops and service from companies. I have seen a few older threads around. But with the change of management and so forth and name changes we need a new one.

I have always found forum sponcers are the best because they take a personal intrest in the cars and hence a sponcer of the forums.

Some workshops say "arhhh" when you say skyline and then jack the price up just for you.

Did some shopping today for wheel allinements due to brand new suspension changing all the settings. Found most shops to be very helpful and they have redeemed my confidence in the industry. I mean when i worked for ford years ago customer service was the top prioity. If i were to say something un-nice or blunt i would be fired.

I believe that the customer is the business... I work in customer service everyday now... There are nicer ways to treat people you may not like. My personal hate is smell.... If they smell i dont like them.... LOL

I happen to have a calling card in my wallet given by Trent at Mercury

why not give them a call...they tuned my Wolf 3D and was impressed by the service i get..told them i needed the car by 5pm coz i need to be home and they did everything they had to finish the car and i was even there waiting coz home is an hour drive away -- while waiting you get to relax and watch DVD on their cossy waiting room or read magazines..very impressive service.

so here

Mercury Motorsport

1300 558 650 or 0402 421 437

and oh yeah....

POST IT..POST IT...we all wanna know LOL.

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
