At this stage I'll be there, I have the night off work but I am getting over a bout of food poisoning atm so I can't be sure I'll be right by then.

Brett and his R33 GTR should be there, and I've almost talked Ken into coming, but it'll depend upon if he has sold the GTR yet, R34 also sounds like he might be talked into it and bring down his WRX for its inaugural run.

Who else is thinking of going? it looks as if we might get lower temps. than the past few Wed. nights.

Rhino,

It was quite busy last week, but still get 10+ runs in if your there early. I was told if we can get 10+ cars together they will give us our own lane, might be worth thinking about.

Works Auto,

Sorry to hear about the gearbox, planning a stock replacement or something stronger?

Hicks,

Tyres for the 16's, I'll try and find some. If you had better rims, like 17's or 18's then I have some waiting at my house. When you blow the turbo try and do it at the end of the track so you don't ruin the racing.:bahaha:

See'ya:burnout:

Yes rb20det box is piss weak... IM trying one outta a r33 rb20e non turbo.

Apparently same box as rb20det . we will see.

RB25DET box costs $1500... too much for me at the moment.

I hit third pretty hard and heard a large bang. So i babied it home in 4th gear.

I think ive either collapsed a bearing or ripped third gear appart.

I'll have a look when i take it out.

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
