PAS WILL BE AT THE AHG DRIVING CENTRE

Lloyd had a major disagreement with the convention centre, and is not gonna have it there

PAS will use 1 skidpan for the show. will have approx 200 cars on there

Half the area will be undercover, the rest will be open

There will be driving events on the other 2 skidpans

There will be a big generator there for power access

Visitor parking will be out near Horrie Miller Drive

They will have shuttle buses to transport ppl from the carpark to the driving centre

The website is getting updated at the moment, and entry forms should be up by this weekend.

What a load of shit.

I'd prefer it just to be a show n shine event. WA has a fair few driving events. PAS has survived for a long time on the loyality of Western Australians to it, but I can see it slipping now, perhaps for good. I know a fair few traders have pulled out of the event now.

Who wants their car in a tent for a weekend? Not me.

I can't understand why they don't have it at the Dome in Burswood I am sure they had it there several years ago... but with all the stuff ups that were at the Perth Convention Centre I am not surprised and somewhat pleased that they are not having it there... the Centre management changed the rules and enforced so many changes on the day that I think Lloyd was probably unfairly targeted as to being at fault...

I am sure that there must be more venues in Perth that could cater for 150+ cars and large crowd numbers maybe the answer for the organisers is to go back to the begining and keep it a bit more simpler like make it a 1 day event instead...

That would be because the Burswood Dome is closed down for good.... haven't you read the papers about concert organisers complaining there are no big venues left in Perth?

yeh they cant have concerts theyre anymore cos theyre building a new little apartment village thing right next to it and they think the noise will disturb the poor east perth rich people. Theyre either building a new centre or re-furbishing the old chanel 7 entertainment centre near the train station. Either way it sucks !

lol.... sorry I did not know that they were closing it down... thats bloody typical.... as far as reading newspapers no sorry I don't newspapers are so full of bad news and crap the only thing that I read is the cars for sale adds in the sunday times and autotrader but I guess you can't call that a newspaper. :O

Surely they don't hold concerts at the Perth convention centre... that place is so badly designed plus you can't have smoke machines without setting of smake alarms...

Back to Belmont I say!

Nah they are knocking down Belmont RaceCoarse - hence why they closed down Ascot for this year to redo the track so they can race on it all next year while they are rebuilding a hoity toity belmont venue.

    • How would you even adjust the clutch if the pedal already has the correct free play? The operating cylinder has no adjustment in mounting position or rod length. On pull style clutches there is also no ability to adjust the bearing carrier. Push type I can see how adjusting the carrier height makes it all work.   If this is the twin plate clutch did you verify that your friction disks were oriented correctly? It's not mentioned in the directions at all you just have to notice that one side the friction disks have a part number on the hub fingers and a subtle coning to those fingers. Another thing that I noticed was if you put the friction disks in backwards the pressure plate fingers will not be even and flat when the clutch is installed.
    • yeah, mechanically, it is probably do-able, off the top of my head, there would be the transfer case, which I believe will bolt up to the rear of the RWD transmission, the shorter rear tail shaft. A front drive shaft, front diff, engine upper sump, front drive shafts, front hubs and front AWD struts (they are shaped around the front drive shafts), LCAs (at the very least from the front suspension) oil cooler.  You might want the rear diff from an AWD too, so you can be certain the front and rear diff rations are identical.  Who knows what brackets and mounts you might need.  So a whole doner car might be the best option if you need to maintain RHD. Then actually making it work, that would be a whole different story.
