Gary,

When installing the whiteline rear springs - i had to go to the third highest circplip groove on the strut before the spring would even touch the top hat. Is this normal? ie I had to go to the second highest circlip groove to get a better height.

Adrian

Yes, quite normal, I run mine in the top circlip groove.

:D cheers :D

adn will also damage your shocks over time due to reduced stroke travel, they have hte possiblilty to heat up too much from the short strokes.....

No it won't, the shock doesn't care what part of the stroke you are using. In a mono tube shock (like a Bilstein) it still holds the same amount of oil, just different amounts above and below the piston.

In a twin tube shock, when you lower it excessively, the excess oil is transferred into the outer tube. This places more oil between the inner tune and the atmosphere. But oil transmits heat better than nitrogen, so the shock would in fact run cooler, not hotter. The temperature difference being so small you would never notice it on a road car of course.

:D cheers :D

Hi there Sydney Kid,

I was put on to this thread from a mate as i currently need new suspension for my R33 GTR. Not very mechanicaly minded so alot of stuff here is giberish to me.

So basically can i get a quote to for the best setup you think would be good for my car?

Cheers....

try pm'ing around or start a new thread to see if anyone who has ordered SK's kit in the last while still has relatively good shocks to use left over from an upgrade.

just checked SK's profile guys

FYI

In Topic: R33 Gtr Bilstein & Whiteline Suspension

Sorry for the delay in responding, especially to PM's. The video card in my home PC died and it took me 4 days to find out what it was and fix it. So I am about 110 PM's behind at the moment and trying hard to catch up. Add that to the workload at Superior Suspension (12 to 14 hours a day, 6 days a week) and it will take me a few days to answer everyone.

Hang in there, if you have transferred money, it's safe, I am not going to run off to Brazil with it. You won't miiss out, the Group Buy isn't going to end soon as I have spent some time with Bilstein securing the shock supply for a couple of months at least.

Advanced warning, I am off to the US for 5 weeks from 1st October to 5th November. Checking out some east coast action, Detroit, Chicago, Daytona and the SEMA show in Vegas. So when I don't respond to PM's or emails in that period, I am sure you will understand why.

cheers

just an FYI on his behalf so we know what's going on

we can still order i am pretty sure but i believe SK is under the pump at the moment

Just keep trying to PM him...

I stil can't get though

His last activity on the site was on 24 august so i'd kep checking his profile till it appears that he's been online - then send him a PM and hope that he's seen to some of his Messages :D

Chances are i presume he won't be able to get your order in in a hurry though...

but here is my direct deposit details though in case you want to send ME the money

bank

branch

et alia...

I'll send you a lollipop, a paperclip and some spare postage stamps:D

Yes... I have found that some images which have 'disappeared' can be found in his SK's profile - this may or may not be the image you're after:

I thought I fixed up all the links in this thread some time ago. Certainly the price matrix is working for me. Anyway, PM me for details and Matt will get back to you ASAP.

Cheers

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
