Found this after i done a little research "after" i bought my steeringwheel lock ...go figure

Thought it could be useful...keep in mind that it was published in 99

16 steering wheel locks tested

Can anybody recomend any other brand?

Always knew that they werent good at deterring proffessionals, but always useful if someone starts something and you need a weapon thatcan legally be carried around :(

It's a misconception you can carry it around as a legal weapon.

If you're carrying it around with the intent of using it as a weapon you can get charged.

Your better off just using it in self defense and within reason if anything :P

another option (if you have an aftermarket wheel) is a quick release hub. then you can detach the wheel and lock it in the boot (disable the remote boot release) or take it with you if you are very keen.

i have one in my car atm and it's quite handy.

Are quick release hubs road legal?

i would say in all honesty probably not. technically an aftermarket wheel is not either so if you already have an aftermarket wheel i don't think a quick release hub will make your car any more illegal.
