Figured this was the right forums for it ..

I'm in Brisbane and am gonna go out for a cruise on the weekend and take a look at some skylines.

Looking at going as stock as possible on an R33 S2 1996 model.

I'm after some suggestions as to which dealers to check out to find my beast.

I know some of you are selling privately, but most are modded and/or don't suit my checklist of requirements.

Where did you guys get your rides?

any suggestions/comments are welcome!

Motovation imports in southport are also a good mob. Didn't get my 'line through them but they have a few on the floor, very clean and VERY stock cars (mostly). Go and check them out, they're open saturdays too....

twoquik,

that's nice .. but id rather buy from a dealer for a few reasons, even though there's a bit more of a price premium on the cars. First of all, id want to be the first owner/driver in Australia .. and yeah, as mentioned before I want to get one as close to stock as possible .. most of the 'lines available for private sales aren't quite what im looking for, particularly with mods and what not.

I guess id prefer to hand my money over to a fellow SAU'er, but who knows how hard you've flogged it either :(

    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
