Hey guys,

its my 1 year annervery coming up, and i was going to take my gf on a picnic.

so i was wondering if anybody had a good picnic spot they'd like to share around the south east

anywhere around brissy to the sun and gold coast

I second the roma st parklands .. the atmosphere is nice, parking isn't much of a hassle (or you could hop on a train), plus there is BBQ facilities there ..

recommend you go and check it out first .. can get pretty busy if you wanna get a BBQ

Take her to tambourine for breakfast and then pnicnic and the u 2 can run throught the forest at night nake!!

I like montville myself...

There are a number of winery's that have the picnic basket already packed for you. You just rock up and oay and they have the whole deal set up for you....

I took my mrs up there mid last year and they had a blanket under a tree looking out over to the ocean in the distance. Nice fresh bread rolls with ham and salad a bottle of the local of course. Cheese and crackers and an oldish wirless radio pumping out 50 year old music. Was very plesent and only cost me $90....

second Montville.. awesome views & scenery, nice little cafe's & restaurants and some cool shops... plus the drive up there is great (about 1.5hrs)

if anyone's ever interest in a weekend stay up there definately check out Misty Views cabins.. overlooking the lake (spa, fireplace, those huge white bath robes, champas, breakfast hamper etc)..first rate all the way and the owners are really nice (they'll drive you out to dinner and pick you up if you want to have a drink) ....we're heading up again for an anniversary weekend away in Oct can't wait!

awesome reply's guys, roma st is awesome, been there a few times, but i want something a lil further away so its easier to make a day of it...

Montville again is awesome, but i have taken my gf there b4.

If you mean out of the way so you can get up to naughty business....

Then you want to go to Gold coast hinterland.... Up near the war museum. There are a heap of picnic spots which are very quiet and nice...

Also cider creek out near samsonvale is quiet and nice aswell....

PS. I have not done naughty business in a public place (recentlly)...
