As far as I know all you need to run is a helmet, long pants and sleeves and closed shoes! (I prefer my thongs) But you can still go there and spectate...theres pretty big crowds and after a night of listening to some of those rota's roar your gonna be pratically deaf in both ears but what the heck!!!

I'm gonna try my best to find someone to take me...After 2 days on this board it looks like ill get to put a few faces to some of these members!!

i should be there, most probably spectating though, but if im keen enough ill join all yous in an off street drag in my 180sx, i should have it by then no worries......my importer said next wedensday its yours.

what time were you pulling?

I had two passes which were pretty ordinary. 13.2 ET with 2.1 60FT (I know I know....)........I don't think I'll have any more mods in the car by then so I hope to run a 12 in current trim.

As long as I line up VISHES I'll be happy BWHAHA =)

Well, if skylines are taking over the drags from the 5L boys, I better come along and give a hand.

Don't forget to get there early. It takes ages to get your first run if you arrive after 5....

    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
    • There is an ABS pump and a few solenoids. You could trigger the front/rear solenoids with a pressure bleeder attached with a Consult 2.
    • I love saying Samsonas lol. Maybe it's because I secretly want one, but also don't want to sell a kidney.
    • My budget has already blown way out but I've got most of the big-ticket items out of the way haha I just got the box back from the shop, got them to inspect it and install one of those refresh kits with all new syncros and bearings so should feel much nicer. But yeah if there's a weak point it'll be the gearbox, I'm gonna roll with it for now and hope it holds together. Do have an Xtreme organic sprung twinplate clutch to go in so if/when the box lets go I'll be back open for suggestions haha
    • Dose salivating at the prospect of being able to recommend a gearbox upgrade!
