I have a TE37 Volk Racing 17x9 in white colour currently on my GTR R33, it is 5x114.3 with 80% threads left 255/ZR50 Bridgestone semi slick tyres. Will you consider to swap with a bit cash adjustment? The cost of the TE37 is 1200-1500$ each brand new, and the cost of the tyres is 500$ each.

If you race your car occassionally, you might want to consider my offer. How about swap your wheel+tyres with my TE37 rims + tyres PLUS a spare Falken Azenis semi slick tyres 70% condition (same size with the bridgestone semi slick, these are my spare tyres)+200$ cash adjustment, that's all I can get. If interested email to [email protected] or call to 0403413768.

En_One - Do you know the offset of the rims because they look like they will stick out to far on a gtst..

These rims are still for sale, i rang around to see if i could get the nismo rims modified to fit my car but they said thet the rims would rub on the suspension if they were shaved to bring the rins in ...

So $4000 still if anyone wants them..

Those TE37s are for a GTR, you'll have exactly the same offset clearance problems with them as you're having with your NISMO rims.

Joe

I dont think the offset is right..

What kinda cash adjustment were you thinking of ?

I have these rims EXACTLY but in 17" by 9" form. they sit perfect on my car, i could imagine how 18" version would be.

i am thinking about selling my set because of the value of them, and i feel i could use the money more wisely on other parts of my car.

I would prefer a SWAP+CASH deal as these are my only wheels,

so if u have a set of GTR rims and are intrested msg me with an offer other wise i'll accept cash offers of $3500firm. they come with 95% tread tyres.

i will have pics soon.

ciao

email me if u are intrested!

Mick,

I have brought in a few cars with damaged rims and usually send the wheels to Stevo's tyres in sydney..

It usually doesnt matter how badly dmaged the rim is, he will always make up new sectinos etc to fix the wheel..

I am sure that with a quality 3 peice set of wheels such as yours, you will be able to get someone to make up a new centre section to reduce the width of the rim. They will take your 9" centre peice and make up a new centre piece with a small cash adjustment...

The reason im helping? I would hate to see you sell such a nice set of rims when you can just adjust them for only a few hundred dollars! If they rub on your struts, then use aluminum spacers, but not too many unless you plan to upgrade your studs!!

Calvin, I sent you a message a week or so ago about the rims ..

Check your PM when you get time ....

Daz, I have had similar wheels on the back of my 34 Gt-t they were 17 x 9 inch and they never came close to scraping / scrubbing offset was +38 from memory - hope this helps!

NB. I have standard suspension / ride height. The front wheels I had on were only 17 x 8 but had no problems with those either.

    • Its a 2002 vr-x four VQ25DET, silver. Coil overs, lowered, polished alloys and sport exhaust. Bit of a project, was sitting in a shed for a while but runs and drives great.
    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
