Figure out exactly what you want, then ring a few places, it's amazing how much money you can save. I'd suggest a 3" turbo back system, with Apexi N1 muffler, just like me:p

if you have an na its prolly better to get 2.25" exhaust as 3" is to big for an na. But I'm sure pwptf can explain it better than me.

I think there was a whole thread on exhaust sizing for NA cars. While turbo cars run best with not restriction, NA cars do require a certain amount of backpressure. So a hi-flowing 3" system might be too much for a small capacity engine (2.5L). I think the 2.25" is a good idea, it will save money still improve horsepower and sound tough. If you want to spend money then get a set of tuned length extractors, they will make a big difference.

my mate is getting some extractors and a full zorst on his lancer soon paul. i know u all dont think much of em. but will it make a noticible diference in power if he goes say a 2.25" zorst.

and approx how much would it set him back u rekon

The 2.25" zorst won't cost too much, bout $700, but extractors are expensive if you want proper tuned length. I'd ask a few exhaust places first to get an approximate price. All up about $1300 at a guess. Will make a difference, but still won't make the car super fast like mine:p
