no havent been to steves i have heaps of mates that go there and usually on a thurs morning ive got a couple of messages on my phone - u at steves? u at steves? been meaning to go there!!

Micko - what training at Mc's are we going to do because there was talk of having some license blahblahblah etc etc etc - what training are they doing and do we get to use our own vehicles - because im more interested in learning how to thrash my own car - ive thrashed too many toyotas celicas and bathtubs (mr2's) already when i worked at toyota and neither impressed - more would like advance driver training for the car i already drive. also price?

Yeah well i may go one day 33Spec2!

weekdays i dont normally go out on weekdays - to tell ya the truth i find northbridge bad enough on weekends - the guys are like pirhanas - and i dont mean to sound up myself but i get sick of lame guys approaching me all the time in the hope to get laid. Plus theres a guy that usually goes to Steve on wednesdays and id rather not bump into him.

$185 dollars is an awful lot of money to get someone to teach me how to drive my own car - i can do that thru my own mistakes. When is it - if its like a month or so away count me in - i can afford it by that time. Who else is going? the fact i get taught in my own car is a major plus - just need a date to make my discision and any requirements like helmets etc. Also the promise that my baby wont get marked by any of those nasty witches hats.

bathtub is as slow as Joe - in fact why people want to buy new MR2's is way over my head - slow as mate - nothing special at all - hot as all hell in summer - in fact i used to prefer taking a plain jane corolla anywhere than an MR2 - all of us did it used to be a fight of who we could offload the MR2 too!!

Trust me i bump into so many ppl id rather not there but really who cares im always wit my friends so i make an excuse not 2 talk 2 em like when i went this week some ppl were shouting out my name and i was like who the hell are they are they talking to me? so i went up 2 em and they were like do u remember us? Oh sh*t i was thinking i hav no clue so i just said Fark no and theywere ppl i went 2 primary school wit! how embarrassing i hate running into ppl!

33Spec2 - yeah bumping into people i would rahter not see is one thing - i can handle that. But this guy - its a long drawn out story that started when i was 14 and to ths day he's still messing with my heart - i just would rather not. Trust me im not sentimental over anyone - except this guy - it just farks with my head too much.

Ok 29th should be able to afford it by then suspension will be done, car tuned its just a matter of money left over after all that - but at the moment its pretty positive - so book it - if at the last minute i cant come im sure i'll get someone to fill my place.

    • Also build this EH ute with 370z motor and gearbox with a couple of turbos just for fun.
    • Got the passenger door on plus the master cylinder and booster. Loaded up to take it home. At home, the colour changes a lot in the light.
    • Nothing cheap, but I have seen the AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ which is pretty close to what you're asking for. The problem is the hydraulic cylinder mandates that the back of the jack be a certain height and Skylines have fairly deep inset floor jack points. A more certain and cheap option is to get some nominal 2x10 inch lumber boards and have one board be 1.5 feet, the other board 3 feet. Glue it all together with lots of clamps to maintain pressure. Make two of these. The ramp suggested above is a good idea, it takes quite a bit of clutch slip to get over each of the boards. I only need the first ~1.5 inches for my low profile jack on a standard ride height car but a lowered car you want to go up to the full ~3-3.5 inches. Paint it or store indoors if you want it to last.
    • Ok. And Nistune? I read (here too) mainly on Stagea threads that it can by "turn off" with Nistune. But they say they still had the sensor plug in. Next week iam going to the Nistune(and other ECUs) tuner so i can finally make it work. I drove the car home and apart from the cut it drove great. No misfire no smoke no hesitation or rough start...so hoping it is this sensor that is missing
    • I just stack 2 pieces of 200x50 timber on top of each other. Total length about 900mm, with the top one being a little shorter and both having a 45° angle cut on them to make the front edge a bit of a ramp. Put these in front of each front wheel, drive up on them, throw the trolley jack under. Takes 1 minute. Scissor jacks can eat a bowl of dicks. I never use on under my car unless desperate.
