Ahh buggered if i know, its running on all four now which is good but low and behold after its maiden run i open the bonnet and there is oil all over the place. there is a leak somehwere near of behind the CAS cover and its spraying all over.

The coke bottle worked good though ;)

Hopefully ill take of teh CAS cover and there it will be some little o ring or something taht obviously need replacing. Either that or a big crack down the side of the block  might need an engine upgrade :eek1:

Yeh that is where its coming from. Ya know the little oil breather box thingy? we we ripped that off and replaced it with a CPU heatsink (dont knock it it works) and from the little gap next to it u can see it all come out. Alot of smoke too

hmm well im not at home and i dont have adigcam so there are afew obstacles.

Ya know the valley with all the plugs and crap? well there is a little flat bit of metal on one side and a little box that sticks out of the rocker cover and joins the breather pipes from the intake to the ahhh other thingy. yeh that part

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
