Liz, my husband does that. I wipe everything, but he always finds some evidence that I am being unfaithful. I want to make it clear that I am a good wife, but my husband is very jealous.

He has finally accepted that I talk to you all on the net, but if there is an event, he always finds a reason I can't go, or he takes the car and doesn't come home until it is too late.

Why do men feel they have the right to control who their wives/girlfriends socialise with anyway?

Can some of you guys please tell me. Do you actually believe that there is nothing wrong with telling a woman who she can and can't see? Do you think that you are doing it in her best interest?

Well be unfaithful and give him something to be jelous about.

Just joking.

A marriage is based on trust and understanding.

My wife knows that I need my own space sometimes and your own personal friends.

I flirt but if some one actually took me up on it , I would run a mile.

I actually do love my wife dearly but sometimes I don't like her due to the lack of *own time * as I call it.

I did ask a male friend once, and he thinks a man has a right to check all of his partners messages. I don't agree. I would never even ask my husband about his messages, who he talks to etc.

Where does it end? Does a man have the right to read his partners diary? It's the same principle to me.

He is insecure.

Men who marry attractive women have the problem that they think every guy is trying to jump there wife.

Trouble is in most cases it's true. I'm sure if you asked his best friend to sleep with you he probably would cos most men think with the wrong head first when it's offered.

He there fore doesn't trust the vows you took at the altar and won't believe you can remain fathful under pressure.

My 2c worth:D

Hmm , Liz appears to be gone.

I am not liking the gist of these convos the last few days.

Hope she can sit down with drew and sort themselves out.

Went through this bout 7 years ago and it's not pleasant.

I think most people flirt as an outlet. We are social creatures and crave human contact, and there comes a point in every relationship that that contact is lessened, so we get it elsewhere. I'm not talking about physical contact only, it is the social contact as well. Like us talking on the forum, it is time out, it is socialising.

I think the point I am trying to make is that it is one form of escape, and I don't believe our partners have the right to try to control that, especially for me as a woman, I work full time, I study occassionally, I have an old fashioned partner who does nothing in the house, so I do it all. After working an 8 hour day, comming home to a couple of hours of housework and cooking, if I choose to talk to some friends on the net rather than fall asleep infront of the TV I believe I have that right, and the right to do that without feeling guilty.

It seems to me that the aim of control is to stop your partner from doing something they enjoy, punishing them.

    • That is a lovely Volvo, just saying. Yes I should have got an 260RS when they were cheap. I do regret now.
    • ^ lots of good points made above. The thing is, "aggressive" or "flush" fitment is relative depending on how much you have been influenced by social media. My starting point is always "look at the Nismo RWD specs". That is where you should start, then start measuring as GTSBoy as sort of mentioned, because every car will be slightly different. My 8.5"+35/9.5+38 will not be "flush" enough for you because you want more "pumped" look, which is why you measure. Tyre sizes and brand/models also make a difference. Some tyres are more chunky/square, some are more rounded. That means you could get away with more aggressive offsets without rubbing. But then it also depends on your ride height. Also depends on how much your car copped damage before being shipped from Japan. So it goes back to measuring your car yourself and determining what can work. Those Nismo specs are used bacause it's a safe spec for standard car (suspension. body) with chunky tyres. But then I put 265/35 wide tyres on R34 GT-R wheels, and currently run 285/30 tyres on 18x10 wheels.
    • Sounds pretty awesome. I recommend creating a new build thread and posting all your goodness in there.
    • +1 for Jesse Streeter. Over the years I have got a bunch of stuff from him (usually wheels, but other parts like aftermarket braces and coolers). He was very good with shipping things to Australia. He may be able to send to other countries.
