hey ken glad you put that clause in ..... no people from last day .... i think it would be painful to watch paul again ...... :D even with his magical Diff thats suddenly going to make him dooorifto master when he installs it :D .... *ducks from pauls flammin*

Don't know but if I go , it will be with a rear wheel drive , light , 300+ at the rears and a ****ing tight LSD.

Then we will see how JJ goes:shake:

Runt is just sitting out the back. May rebuild the engine and then try and sell it cos I have been getting some bullshit offers for it.

People must think it costs F1 money to fix:rolleyes:

Anyway if I go , you are invited and the rest of the troop I will consider on merit.:D

Cheers

is the engine on Runt really that bad??

going to look at drift day thread now.......I'm sure it will make me sad - I still can't afford a ne clutch.

:D

Alex , engine on Runt is better than the one I sold Danny and that pulled 322rwhp on SST's dyno.

Trouble is I know it's not perfect and if you put it back onto the original pcv , not catch can , you wouldn't know.

Thing is I am selling to people who I may deal with later and I wan't my conscience to be clear plus I am a fussy bastard:D

Cheers

We had a bizzare incident on the way home. The evoVI from the drags sidels upto this worked ute on the freeway, brakes so they're even, changes into 4th, looks for confirmantion and they're off. I leave it in forth and follow till my limiter tells me not to. Deesh in a s15 behind me does the same.

A couple of kays later (everyone one doing the speed limit), the evo pulls over onto the shoulder for the no real reason. A short while later, a spot opens up in the right lane next to the ute, so I decide to give it run. Indicate, change lanes, pull even, brake, look in the rear view mirror before I'm about to change into 3rd and what'dya know, a VY. A marked VY. Roof bar and all, right behind me. So I sit in fear waiting for the lights to come on, but instead, the cop pulls into my old spot behind the ute and pulls the ute over. Bizzare!

The cop must have seen the evo and ute race. And we think the evo must have seen the cop and pulled over early. I'm just not sure how I got out of it alive :)

    • Congrats on the career change!  I did something similar at the start of the year too, left IT / corporate after nearly 2 decades. Soooo when's the motor coming out for the spark plug change?
    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
