Every single time people mention a tuner workshop or whatever we enter the same world of car politics, strange when the combatants play no part in the running of the criticised I think it makes some of us feel important......

We want to know whos good whos bad.... but its not going to be that simple best everyone keeps their eyes ears open for themselves

...........and summoner you stole my term net parrot im suing you immediately, plagerist:bahaha:

Hello Denver parker(XRW)( his bagging can be seen on other forums) you have never meet me ,you are

judging SST by the word of AJ so your opinion is void.

Ask Anthony who popped his GTR -not me-

Barrie walker is the most talented Dyno man in Perth, I shared

a shop with him and have great respect for him he taught me

a hell of a lot -SST are so bad that we work 6 days a week till

8.30+. We all have our special areas and the bad don't last

long ,SST started in 1989 and Istarted building jap race cars

in 1981, inc WARC Championship winning cars and have held

lap records, and I tune aircraft and had cars sent from the east to sort out .

Why am I still going if i'm so bad, some of the A list came to me as kids.Use people you or your mates have had good experiances with.

Congradulations you know my full name, for the other forums, just so people can see why ive been bagging you, check http://www.wascc.com.au its a mighty good laugh..

As for my opinion, i base my own opinion, myself, on work i have seen done, i know a lot of people steve, i do a lot of motorsport, i am a member of numerous car clubs, i have been involved with cars for as long as ive been able to lift a spanner, AJ doesn't influence my decision of the quality of your work, ive seen enough of it, and spoken to people first hand who have dealt with you and told me of the work you've done for them to base my own thoughts on this..

Which lap records exactly do you hold steve?.. i mean you personally, a customer car getting a record doesn't make it your record, unless you where driving at the time, then fire away with them..

When they came to you as kids, carbies and webbers where around, not efi, not exactly hard to tune a carb, im sure you had a fine selection of screw drivers for the task..

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
