vuey28
Ive been looking around this site and found numerous post about driver side window problems. My car has also fell victim to the window nightmare where it is now unable to go up or down anymore (unfortunately the last position it was left in was all the half way anyone can just reach in and open the car and take my sound system and gear knob if its a hobo. kekeke. sorri.). Im gona assume its the motor. Anyone else have this problem? My car has not been driven for like 2 weeks caz of this problem. Bloody miss driving my baby. Thank god I have a garage. If not man it would have been flooded with rain or stolen whichever comes first. LOL. Anyone else think its something else? or have any solution say away or know of any auto electrician who wont charge me trillions and trillions of money and thats just for the motor. LOL. Anyways Thanks for your yuummy time. tO bE COntiNued... HopEfUllY! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/91020-driver-side-window/ Share on other sites
Liz
I expect your usual mechanic should be able to diagnose and fix the problem themselves if you are not able to rather than having to use a specialist electrician I've had 4 different problems with my power windows (on the proton of course) 1. Motor 2. The wire pully thing came off 3. Something else (current problem) - motor works, wire is fine but its not going up straight.. falling to one side all the time 4. The actual switch The first two times, I've just taken off the door panels and found out straight away what the problem and the last time I was just sick of doing it so I got my mechanic to chekc it out, cost me next to nothing too PROTONS ROCK! d00dz
Does it still sound like its going to click? Means motor is still working. Could be the bolt which connects the window itself to the regulator. And couldnt be regulator too.. New regulators are about $125 from nissan. vuey28
Sorry for the delay Thanks everyone My relayer (black box) thing clicks everytime I push the up or down switch for my window but nothing happens. So your saying its not the motor but the regulator? ill give it a check today with the mechanics. I always thought it would cost alot to repair this things. Thanks all. Ill give you the end result of this endless battle to open windows. laters Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/91020-driver-side-window/#findComment-1642839 Share on other sites

ranicx
also having window problems too.. again .. when the window is fully up and ya press the button to move it down, it drops slightly one way, then the other, then goes down fine.. seems to do the same thing on the way up, but not drop oviously. also wile im on about the windows.. if i dont have the windows all the way up and i cose the door, they rattle and makes that 'cheap car door' noise.. any ideas? im thinkin the regulator guides mite not be holding the windows firm, and for the droping one.. i duno, cause ive had it fall off the regulator once b4 and fixed it by screwing the bolt back on and lock tighting it. vuey28
Ask a mechanic to look it up for you See what he/she says then just go home and fix it yourself Im planning to buy the motor and just replace it myself (hopefully it would not be to complicated) but yeah i would suggest that Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/91020-driver-side-window/#findComment-1647646 Share on other sites
