;)

Today is one of those days I rather not remember

My pet doggy was hit and run over by somebody

I only found out after coming home from TAFE

For those who do speed in suburban areas please dont

Others may have love ones who dont wish to loss them... either they be pets or human

Now my other dog is welping all day cause she knows her sister is no longer there with her... there been together for over 8 years now.

For anyone who did run over a dog today... hope you realise you hurt others pretty bad because of your negligence.

Please dont hit and run either

Atleast confest up to your mistake... dont run off and leave them there to die.

They didnt do anything to you why would you leave them there to die

I wish she can be with us still but unfortunately reality states she cant

So please slow down

Even if you have a fast car it doesnt mean you abuse it

Thanks for listening

RIP my doggy

:(:(:(

sorry to hear your loss.....

i can say i know how you feel.... ive had it happen and seen it happen... not a pretty sight....

not only are animals are a danger but people and small children are too...

please slow down!

My doggy got run over a couple of years ago (thankfully survived) but the guy that ran her over came over the next day and said "oh just came over to see how your dog is, so sorry bla bla bla, oh by the way, I'm sueing you for the damage done to my car".. Asshole...

very sorry to hear about your dog. I have lost two dogs that way over the years. I have to say though it's a bit much to assume the person was speeding. i'm sure they could have hit the dog at 40kmh and possibly not even known it was a dog.

Very sad day though ;)

My condolences

I too have lost my beloved dog over someone's negligence ;)

People who don't have pets don't seem to understand the bond that forms with a pet, you spend all that time with it, caring & nurturing your pet it soon becomes a member of the family.

I am sorry too hear about your dog, it is a sad day when a beloved pet is killed.

Assuming that the dog was killed by speeding is a broad assumption, you also need to take some responsibility as you should have your dogs contained in your yard and not roaming the streets where they can be hit.

Im really sorry to hear about your dog...

Just a question to everyone who has lost a dog, how your dogs get on to the road? Did the dog always have free access to the street?

I know there are times when people accidently leave the gate open but if your dog has free reign then an accident like this will happen sooner or later ;)

Both dogs were locked up usually.

1 time she dug out under the fence and went for an explore..

the other time he ran out when taking it for a walk and walked out onto the rd.. didnt kill him, broke his back and he had to be put down.

Thanks everyone

One of my neighbours heard a speeding car brake pretty loud and came out to see what the commotion was... they saw my dog lying there on the road while the car ran off... reason where i came up with the speeding thing... unfortunately they couldnt see the number plate at the time since the car was to far...

but the fact that they did a hit and run is not on

My dog dug a hole out of the yard

Never thought that would be possible

She never has done it before

Yeah sorry for stating the fast thing...

she could have died from a slow moving car but this time around im going to assume she didnt.

My point is slow down in suburban areas... it may be a pet dog you may kill or even a small child...

speeding is for the circuits... and keep it there

Thanks all for listening

Pets will always remain as family members no matter what people say.

RIP my doggy

We all miss you especially your sister who cant stop weeping and welping for you. We will always remember you when you were still a puppy and will continue to love you till our days are gone. Please take care of yourself my doggy for you will always be in our hearts and minds...

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences

Hope it didnt bring up too much pain

my dog got ran over by my neighbours car...prick....he didnt stop either...it was late in the afternooon....he ran out of the house...went up the roadand the car came around the bend...he saw the dog...cause he stopped for a bit...but then proceeded to drive again,,,my dog was still in the way ;)

Sorry about your dog mate,

I've been on the other end of this situation, but the dog didn't get killed.

Long story short after stopping and seeing the dog sore but ok, the dogs owner noticed the damage to my car then started to deny all responsibility..We ended up in court and I walked away with a judgement for the repair costs, court costs and loss of earnings for the court date. It ended up costing the guy a fair chunk of cash all because he left his gate open and let his dog roam.

When I hit the dog I didn't have much time to react but if I'd swerved to avoid the dog chances are I'd have hit either the car parked on the left or the kids playing on the r/h/s footpath.

I'll always remember the family that lived across the road from me when I was a kid, on holidays they swerved a roo and got driven over by a semi..4 dead, one daughter survived, friggin tragic. There used to be something in the learners book with reference to not swerving to avoid animals as it's dangerous and most of the time the animal gets clear anyway.

Not saying this is anything even remotely like what happened to your poor pup and I do feel for your loss..reading this just brought back some memories.

sorry to hear that this had to happen

but if it does happen someday who should we contact for the injured animal, coz if we contact 000 i doubt they would come out and i don't think anyone knows the number of the RSPCA

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
