I want to get my wiring harness protector plastic bit dipped in carbon fibre but it sits right next to the rocker covers and would get quite warm. Maybe the fuse box cover too.

I also want to get my fuel rail and regulator painted but i have no idea what finish or colour im after yet...

Hey guys i have heard back from the guy that does the dash, he said the following:

Hi Mass,

The price for r33 dash is normally around $420.00 plus GST but if there is a

few of the other guys that want it done I can do them for $350.00 plus GST

as long as the parts are all in raw plastic.

The reason why I say this is because some of the r33 interior parts had a

soft feel finish coating sprayed on to them from factory and that needs to

be removed. It takes allot of time to remove it because you have to be

careful not to damage the plastic underneath. If your parts have got this

soft feel coating on them I could remove it for an additional $50.00

I will attach some carbon fibre pictures for you to look at that I have just

competed.

If you need any more info please do not hesitate to ring me on 0412 865 066.

Thanks.

Michael.

i havent negotiated more as yet, but just wanting to know who wud be interested and at wat price we shud be aiming for??

i think that if we can get it done for $350 no matter what, as in no more then $350 then thats a good price.

any thoughts? and also i need about 5 people, so far there seems to be about 5 so looks ok....

i see no pic?

keep in mind that my car isnt here yet guys....but if its here when this happens id be interested.

when you say the dash, is that all of it, or just the main part?

look at UAS (www.nismo.com.au i think) and their package coats a shit load of parts....would look really good i think

and you might have to really work at that $350 deal. he's saying $350 + GST + $50 to remove that stuff...

edit, saw the pic. looks hot!

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
