Pretty damned easy. They're one of the most popular imports around, so whether you just join in the latest round of wrecking a S13 someone's crashed and taking bits off that, or getting it from a shop, you should be able to locate anything you need.

Well guys... today i went on down to auto alley with my dad... started looking at dealer specific cars mitsu's nissan etc...but, didn't like em for the lack of variety... so we took a cruise on down the road to this assorted dealer... walk in.. see this white r33 GTS 1995... i'm looking at it.. look inside... and it's mint.. farken mint... ask to see under the hood.. and my jaw dropped... it is so clean... and just so f**king clean and well conditioned it's unbelievable... 65k on the clock.. and it shows...

So my dad is also looking at driving the car i would like to get.. and he's in love with the line :) which is great for me ;) he's down to get i'm down to get it... just need the consent of the lioness mum.

Oh by the way... he's asking 14k ( 13k maybe if we get it tomorrow ) for it... stock as a rock... clean like you wouldn't believe...if i can get pics i will.. it looks, sounds and feels like it got produced yesterday

So do you think it's worth 13-14k? I sure as hell do, but you guys have alot more experience.. and any feedback would be greatly appreciated as i'm positive someone will snatch it up...soon if we don't act quickly :(

I jus bought my skyline yesterday- and im so so so happy! Its taken me a year to find the right one, that was roadworthy and what i wanted. Through a private sale, 95 gts 33. Absolutely stock as a rock- which is good for me, cos i wana do my own things to it.. and for 13k :( its been very looked after, excellent condition and im glad i waited around to find the right one.

Dont rush into anything, jus take ur time and hav a think about it!

Well had another look today... found a r33 gts25 might be able to get it down to around... 13 he said 13.5 but we'll see... might go for a drive up to newcastle to sus out this white s13 tomorrow...

go get a vl turbo... for 15 grand you can get 1 thats of its god damn tities, and lucky for u! they're all basically auto!!!

you gotta move away from jap cars to mush police attention. i had a 2 skylines for the past 3 years and all i got was defect after defect after defect.

as long as your not stupid about doing up a vl u can get huge power with low mods

R.I.P. the "JAPCAB"

You know, you're right! Buying a car he can't legally drive will definitely attract less attention from the cops! :P Any other bright ideas? Maybe he should hollow out the cat and run a screamer pipe while he's at it.....

And since you got "defect after defect", even after the first time you got busted you clearly didn't heed the warning and get it all fixed to a legal condition. So while the first one might have been bad luck, with the subsequent ones they're completely your fault. You know its happened to you before, yet you did nothing about avoiding it in the future.

I know a couple of people whose cars aren't remotely legal. Whether it be cars that have had most of the interior trim pulled out and a full cage installed, or another that pulled 120dB at full noise on the dyno, these guys have never been defected. But then their cars' exteriors look near stock, and the visible mods don't look like a punch-drunk apprentice installed them. And they don't drive around like complete f**kwits.

Something that quite a few people on here have also backed up. The guys that don't act like complete tools tend to not get done by the cops as the wannabe street racers.

The r33 gts would be a great P plate car..

Hope it works out for you.

I couldn't agree more strongly...I've been driving heavily modified cars for near on 20yrs, the only time I get pulled over is when the cops an enthusiast and wants a closer look @ whatever i'm driving for the day.

Can be slightly annoying if i'm running late...but other than that :P

The only times I've ever been pulled over is if I've done something dodgy in front of them.

While I was f**king annoyed at getting busted for speeding or pulling screechies out of a side street, or the massive powerslide I did in the middle of a busy intersection semi-by-accident, they all had me dead to rights.

oy, get a local spec R31 S3 TI. Lovely cars, full plush interior, electric everything, touquey Rb30 motor with dickloads of potential, and the S3 froutn end looks nice as, and the hotplates too!

do it

DOOO IT

*edit- with that much, you could get a pretty nice first car.. i know a guy selling a very sexy S3 Passage import, black, auto, RB20 turbo for like 6k.. f**k its nice. then you could spend the rest modding it

mmmm... what is the general price range for R33 gts25's series I and II ? ( non turbo)

Because.. i saw a R33 i think series I perhaps... broken handbrake.. minor superficial damage on drivers door.. and the dealer wanted 13.5 for it i think.. and I thought that was a load of crap... it looked to be worth <13k but in his words ( it will tidy up very nicely) ;)

ooo the white one at the first place i saw sold over the weekend :P ..but i've seen 2 more in better condition and cheaper... need to pray they don't get snapped up..

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
