For sale I have a 1990 R32 GTSt. It is a 5 speed manual coupe with sunroof (that actually works), a/c that blows cold, p/s, ABS, all the usual electrics. It is dark green with 88000km. The car is stock other than a turbo timer and Alpine CD / Cassette / Equalizer. A nice straight car that isn't an ex drifter or that's been flogged. Fully registered.

Open to offers that are made with cash to back them up. [email protected]

Tasmania only thanks, this is why the ad is posted here.

by the way, I sold a blue GTS4 ages ago, the happy new owner rang me and told me how he'd taken it to the Scottsdale show and picked up three trophies, best rims, best interior and car of the show overall!

He's invested a fair bit in the car on rims etc. It was a nice car when he bought it, it's insane now!

Yes to Phat MR30 and to Wogboy.  Getting it out there to be seen!  Yep, straight clean car.  Wogboy, my missus saw you checking it out,  & liked your number plates!

Yeah, we stopped and had a look, my young bloke is after one.

so what's the deal with this car?

This is a car I spent some time hunting the jap auctions for.

This isn't one that was bought once the end of the 15 year rule was announced, people bought anything they could get their hands on, and it reflects in the 'quality' of some of the cars that are now on the market - talk to any of the mainland players and it's common knowledge that anything you can't sell you send to Tasmania as they'll buy anything.

This car doesn't have rust, it came from southern Japan, so no snow & ice, therefore no road salt.

Yep, you could buy an unregistered uncomplianced car for around $10K, but remember it's probably one of dozens bought in bulk by a big time mainland importer, who is now trying to offload the dregs in Tassie.

This car is actually registered here, so you aren't buying a car that needs anything doing to it. The chassis numbers actually match the import approval, unlike a certain Hobart operator trying to pass himself off as a import dealer. He is getting a reputation for dodgy activities, and legitimate importers are complaining about his activities as he ruins it for everyone.

This car is seriously for sale as my better half is off the Uni next year, so a toy must go.

Well what sort of price are you looking for? I'm interested in an R32. I could make an offer but it better if there originally is a price to go on! I'll have a look on eBay.

How may k's? So you live in Launnie? Are you heading into Hobart anytime soon?

I will send you a PM. However it has 88000km on it. It is a neat, clean & rust free example, especially when compared to a lot of what has flooded in since the end of the 15 year rule. Never has the adage of you get what you pay for been more appropriate.

Not heading to Hobart anytime soon, but can meet you part way if you really do want to have a look.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
