XY730

Remember that plate Ladies and Gentlemen for that is the number plate for a large white BMW touring style motorbike that decided waiting in traffic like everyone was too much to ask and did the typical biker weave and collected our front bar on the Cliosport this morning.

When confronted over the scratch the Asshole then said "What do you want me to do about it" and sped off.

Thanks dude, big help, just what I need in the morning.

Hope I see it in a carpark one day.

Why the police wont do a fcukin thing! I dont mind if bikes want to go up the sides where there is plenty of room, but pushing your bike through traffic where you come very close to hitting other cars is just fcukin wrong.

I hope someone finds him, and he gets what he deserves.....

bullshit.. the police for whatever reason usually do actually take these things seriously. If you don't file a police report, you can't also claim a not-at-fault claim with your insurance.

my brother had to front court for a similar thing a few years ago.. accidentally knocking a mirror off a car and getting reported for it.

so shut your cakehole.

Hi Mate, I can symphathise with you. I have been victim also. (years ago not involving my Skyline).

The Police here in VIC found him, (I only had the first 3 letters of the rego) did take it seriously, & the C**T got a visit & my car was repaired.

I was hesitant to "DOB" to the Police, but when I spent a month trying to find him myself with a can of BRake fluid & some Chlorine, I gave up & decided to end it. These Braindead Goats, just think that a scratch or minor dent is a $2 job.

Cheers.

Bikers think that they own the road, I always keep out of the way of vehicles bigger then me, maybe bikers should keep this in mind next time they pull out in front of you. I dont have anything against bike riders, but they should not think that because they are smaller and faster and can weve in and out of traffic, that if they cause damage to peoples cars even a scratch that they are just as in the wrong as if I were to run into another car, only they can speed off easier.

I say "DOB" the bugger in.

My 2c.

Chris

A friend in Brisbane witnessed a Biker come straight off his bike the other day smashing a fair amount of his bike off in the process of pushing through traffic.

Anyone have a Magic Voodoo Bike for XY730 that we can give a kid to play with ?

Any bike that lane splits when I'm up front gets a rude shock when the lights go green. Report the plate....take the f**ker down.....then laugh at him when you see him again.

You are lucky it was in the Cliosport coz if you told the police it was in your skyline...NOTHING would have been done. Cops don't give a shit, never have and never will.

And no amount of cake can shut my hole on that topic.

    • So I'll put filler past the repair area a bit to make sure I don't miss anything. Then I'll block it until it's almost level, put the guidecoat, then keep blocking until it's gone. Then it's still wavy.  In regards to hitting the panel, I saw this video might give more context - Skip to 0:47 he knocks it down. But yeah I'm sanding until the guidecoat is gone then checking because otherwise my filler is still well above the bodyline. Unless what you're saying is I should put guidecoat around it early, surrounding the filler then stip once it's gone?
    • I refreshed the OEM injectors with the kit and connected it up. It now ideals okay even with the IACV removed. Driving still has the same cutoff issue like the 550cc injectors so the issue is somewhere else. I bought FPG's Fuel Pump Hanger. I will be installing it next, but it is not as straightforward as I thought it was with my limited wiring knowledge and no instruction on the specific model I purchased (FPG-089). I also got the incorrect billet clamp as I could not find info on the OEM sizing.
    • Stop looking at the garage floor, and turn the radio up a bit louder if there's any strange noises...
    • No. Turbo shuffle and surge/flutter are not the same thing. Specifically, on a GTR, turbo shuffle has a definite meaning. On a GTR, the twin turbos are assumed to be the same thing and to operate the same way, exactly. In reality, they do not. Their exhaust sides are fed and exhaust a little differently, to each other. Their inlet sides are fed and exhausted a little differently, to each other. Consequently, when they are "working" they are often at slightly different points on the compressor map compared to each other. What this means, particularly when coming on boost, is that one of them will spool up and start producing extra flow compared to the other, which will put back pressure on that other compressor, which will push the operating point on that other compressor up (vertically). This will generally result in it bumping up against the surge line on the map, but even if it doesn't, it upsets the compressor and you get this surging shuffle back and forth between them That is "turbo shuffle" on a GTR. It is related to other flutter effects heard on other turbo systems, but it is a particular feature of the somewhat crappy outlet piping arrangement on RB26s. There are plenty of mods that have been attempted with varying levels of success. People have ground out and/or welded more material into the twin turbo pipe to try to prevent it. Extending the divider inside it works, removing material doesn't. There are aftermarket replacement twin turbo pipes available, and these exist pretty mush purely because of this shuffle problem.
