where can i get one of the series 2's that was "wrong" ? im wanting to bodgy it up for something else on my series one 33.

I will second that, is there any way of doing a "bodgy" to get these to fit ? if we do the stuffing around ourselves?

What is actually wrong with them? Instead of chucking them can we talk about a reduced price? or is it not worth doing?

I have a series 1 one that was sold to me by Maxx saying it was a series 2. You can bodgy it to make it fit, but its still f**ked and not worth it. Im hanging for a proper series 2 one here then ill piss this other piece of shit off.

What is required to make it fit? is it just the around the bonnet catch?

UAS i think it was told me i could buy one of their series 1 ones and just cut out a piece to make it fit. Is this the only difference?

I cant really comment on the UAS one as i dont think its exactly the same as the one i bought off Maxx. But we had to cut out the bonnet latch bit AND bend the bonnet latch lever, and its still not right. And the airguide bit at the bottom doesnt cover down how it should. And not all the holes matched up, had to drill an extra 1 or 2. Essentially mate, i would wait a few weeks or whatever and get one that you know will fit. I very much regret buying and forcing this piece of shit on and cant wait to replace it with something proper.

The Series II guide is totally different to the Series I.

Different bends and everything. Different cutting profile as well.

My ones are on order now, I'll post pics when they are done...

In fact, there are some pics in this thread somewhere....

Thanks for the info.

I will just have to be patient.

What about his eyebrows?

Darkboy.

Sorry mate, I must have missed your post.

The Stag Series II and R3 Series II guides are being cut, bent and oated by one company to try to eliminate delays between processes.

This is costing me more money than I allowed in the beginning, but that's my problem not yours.

I expect them to be ready in a week or so depending on the company that is doing them.

The Series I Stags and GTS-Ts powdercoating should be ready today, I'll swing by the place tomorrow morning and pick them up.

Should be able to starting sending towards the end of this week.

Stagea Series II and R33 GTS-T Series II and any others.

I spoke with the company doing the cutting and bending of your bits today.

They are cutting them today and bending early next week.

Looking good!

Hey ppls.

Okay, here's the state of play.

I'm currently in the middle of boxing up all the Series I R33 and Stags and R34s.

Bubble wrapping and boxing up.

I inspected the Series II R33 and Stags this morning and they are now off getting powdercoated. I expect to pick them up early next week, maybe Monday or Tuesday. Then I'll be boxing them up also.

Almost there ppls.

I'll post up some pics when I get the second batch of guides.

:P;)

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
