It would want to be mint. Passages rarely get within $2-3k of HR31 coupe prices, so with good coupes at $8-10k, it would want to be pretty reasonable.

Most go in the $5-7,500 range.

Need to know more though! Is it RB20DET? if it is, NICS or ECCS? Auto or manual? LSD or open diff?

Velour "pimp" style interior or skyline style cloth GT interior? Early or late model panels and lights?

mods??? ive seen some go for about 4 grand right up to 10-11 grand... it depends on the condition... any rust check on front quarter panel down very bottom under indicators... ks? straight body? interrior??

im pretty sure all the passages came out with automatic transmission coz they were the luxury type model... and the rb20 is the same as the hr31 coupes not sure wether nics or eccs always get mixed up with the two >_<

Sorry,

Yeah i think they did only comeout in Auto, unless it was changed afterwards.

4 door pillarless, RB20DET, ECCS (swicthed from the NICS), Auto, navy blue "pimp" style interior lol with passage embroidered on the head rests.

Performance wise not much done. He's done the exhaust, switched the turbo to a ball bearing, boost guage, boost controller, turbo timer, front mount not on yet but i can take that too and everything is colour coded.

Theres no stereo in it he's put it in another car but will sell with the original double din + spare parts and the original mats that came with it they r ugly but they have like a little plaque on them stating what the car is etc..

Hope that helps a little i have only seen the car once, will go back for a second look.

I was looking to buy a passage a year ago.

I checked out quite a few $2500-$6700 and one mint black one with new 18"s in a yard, $9990 on the windscreen, salesman said I could have it for $8k, $7k if I had my own wheels.

I found the ones for private sale were usually overpriced, totally unrealistic where yards were more in touch with the market with tidy examples for $4990.

Some private ones had shocking rust, wobbly windows, ripped rubbers, too rough for a yard but still $5-6k

Ended up buying r32gtst instead for $9k.

Nah, they were available manual for sure - basically anything you could have in a coupe you could have in the hardtop.

I think its priced a tad high honestly, I'd be thinking $6500 with the rego is a ballpark figure, but then you are getting some good bits....

If you could get it for say $6800-7000 reg'd it would be ok, not a screaming deal but ok.

How many kms?

Is it the early style front (like a pintara) and rear (lights without the clear bubble covers)? What year?

If its any older than mid '87 , $7k is a lot of money too.

also this was raised on the r31skylineclub forum something about the chasis twisting or the roof twisting coz of no b pillar or something like that... make sure u check that out before you buy

bah it's another ae86 car where they are more expensive as they are really worth ;|

Like a cefiro?

The Passages are very cheap. You can pick them up for little more than $1-2k over the price of a good stock aussie one, for that you get the RB20DET, IRS + R200, HICAS, bigger brakes, much more luxurious interior and many more features.

They are also cheaper generally compared to 2 door HR31 imports.

    • Put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Replace the turbos. Probably completely separate issues.
    • What copper washer do you guys use on the bleeder bolts? The existing one I have I had no idea where to find it in a local store, I did buy some online but that are only 1mm thick whereas my old one is 2mm+ thick and when I put the new washer out and squeeze the top radiator hose I can hear a bit of air but not with the old one. Does this matter? The new one doesn't leak, but the inner diameter is a bit loose whereas the old one threads on the bolt.
    • Howdy all, after being out a few weeks ago on a spirited drive in my GTR I have 2 issues that oddly have appeared at the same time. Whilst accelerating quickly through the gears all of a sudden i’ve lost power at the top of third gear (below redline around 6000rpm) for no obvious reason.    From that point onwards the car has been running rich on idle, won’t really rev under load without a ton of black smoke and the odd backfire, and dying as a pull up to a set of lights unless I keep the revs up around 1500rpm. In addition when shutting down the car that same night (I was 10 minutes from home) I noticed one of the turbos was significantly noisy on wind down when shutting off the engine. After letting the car cool down overnight it starts up fine, although once it gets to temp the revs start to creep up and down, the exhaust is darker than it should be and it also sounds like it’s running rich (fat note) I’ve put a new set of plugs in it - no change, the old plugs all seemed OK with two of them being somewhat richer/fueled up than the other 3 with 1 being borderline. I’ve smoked tested the intake system via the front of the Turbos, found a split vacuum hose going to the factory boost gauge sender, which I have since replaced.  Also found another leak on the gasket coming off the rear turbo outlet, have also replaced this. After fixing both of these leaks - still have the running rich issue. I’ve also tried another pair of AFM’s - no change here After pulling off the front turbo intake pipes, there is obvious shaft play in the front turbo, which now hisses loudly on light revvs although I can’t see why this would make the car run funny even under idle. I’m curious to know why it’s running rich before I potentially replace/rebuild turbos. The car is completely stock <50,000kms  other than an exhaust. Oil and coolant are all clear. I haven’t bothered with coil packs as it looks like they won’t be the issue due to condition of the plugs. Any help appreciated as I cry myself to sleep!
    • No probs at all. I used to love trying to dig up obscure info for those in need where possible going back 20+ years on SAU.  I did have another look and couldn't come up with any closer match. I'm leaning towards those skirts in your first pic are custom fitments, cut down/extended or from another car entirely and modded to fit an R34 sedan. I would've thought someone in Japan had them and taken a photo at some stage over the last 2 decades but there's nothing. Someone out there must know surely.
