How long do you expect it to take, I'll try an catch-up with you after I've finished work, about 3pm, if your still around.

Get then to ditch your cat at the same time, makes nice flames from the exhaust:lol:

Adrian,

Don't get too excited on getting your dump pipe in. When I had my front, dump and hi flo cat done I had to run them in a couple of hundred kms to make sure the gaskets had sealed.

Once done, it should give you a meater mid range though. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Run a dump pipe in?

If done right it either seals or it doesn't. You will/should notice better turbo response (down low) and improved top end, along with a bit more boost.

The next thing to do is to wrap it in thermal tape, allth way to the cat.

revvy: so if I get a dump pipe and front pipe, adjust the timing and maybe chuck in an SAFC (we have a 5 knob one sitting around here at home) I should see a nice little bit of difference? also fit my front mount cooler that's been sitting in the garage for the last 3 months!

sup guys

i got called into work tonight as well

ahh what a day

well along with my front pipe today i replace the piping from my muffler to the cat which had a resonator and middle muffler to just straight 3" piping and boy is it loud now lolz

extreme machines seem like real good people

very pricey though

but they do know their stuff and seem to do a top job

so yeah

next week i shall get my screamer pipe in and maybe a highflow cat unsure on the cat yet!

i shall keep yaz posted

Angel ya got pics of ya car?

cheers

adrian

No pictures sorry Adrian. I"ve had it for six months and haven't even taken a photo! How slack is that. I'll catch up with U on the next cruise, or maybe a few of us could meet for coffee (or beer or something), and check out each others machines.

I will take some pictures this week. I am having some leather done on my interior, and I want before and after shots. This means I will have to give it a good wash and detail.

Rev210, the exhaust guy told me there is no point doing the dump pipe without doing the cat as well. Already booked in to do the job anyway, but is it a waste of time putting in a high flow cat?

Angel,

The hi-flow cat is a good idea, but many of us are deciding to run without one at all, just the issue of a possible $10K fine. Definately do the hi-flow cat, otherwise you will have a restriction in the exhaust and defeat the purpose of all the other stuff.

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
