yeah when i was turning around on anzac highway around 1-130ish i ended up following 5 or so nice r33s through town. i think they'd taken off from that red emblem cruise by the sounds of it. had fun cruisin with em tho even if i just happened to tag along! after that just stopped at west tce shell station then cruised back up nth with my mates in a xr6t ute and vl turbo and another fella in a schmick as candy red 4 door 33. plates were vambex or somethin like that.

Yep yep..the candy red 33 was definetely on the cruise. Initially there were about 8 skylines, and 3 DR31's....but they stayed at the car park. It was alright...and managed to stay together suprisingly. There were a few cops down the bay, but i was on the opposite side of the road so was able to smile at them :D

Once arrived at the city was a little harder to keep together.

so wot 11 ppls shared the raffle prize pool or there was no raffle

I wasn't there at the end. Some cop pulled over my brother for the sake of it. And when he didnt defect him cause he couldn't, he told my bro that some car with the same description (black 32 with white front BN bumper on - how many people have single part of body kit driving around with exact same color) was stolen and used for ram raids.

Either way, for the sake of it i pulled behind the un-marked car and was witness and listened on the discussion ..so i wasn't with the group at the last stop. So it would be prize pool between 9

Yeh i was in hinley street about to walk in Red square when i saw like 5 - 6 skylines cruzing by.

Saturday night in hinley was packing with cops....

Like Nozila said, sounded like a "look at me CruIZe" :D

if it was the same car wouldnt his front end show signs of ram raid damage :S

My thoughts EXACTLY!! Honestly, they have been picking on him since he put a harassment charge on one of the bike coppers a while back. He's been pulled over almost consistantly each time a cop reads his number plate - the good thing is that the cop that initially started all of it got scorned by the sargeant (i cant spell sorry) for putting a defect notice which never occured when he went through regency :O .

any1 go? i didnt make it...saw a few skylines driving around at about 2am ish...

Noticed that you weren't there, even though i've never met you before  There was a very nice R33 with gold rims that came, was nice.....that is besides the candy apple red 4 door 33

haha DC_GTST

didnt sound like a big cruise...i been on holden cruise in the past with my mate and there was like 50 or more cars...we need 2 do a cruise like that...they even let the cops know they hold the cruise n the cops come along n they dont have any probs...any1 like that idea or have a better1?

nah vange - these are the exact OPPOSITE of cruises that SAU people (in general) want to be involved in. The more people you have, the less control you have. The more P plater bogans rocking up, the more attention you get from the cops, and the more we become 'known' to them and make ourselves targets. Far better to keep it small groups by invitation/PM only - that way you avoid the nasty image associated with cruises ie. accidents, defect stops, pubilc nuisance etc etc - indeed if you like those things head on out on an IMFS, nissansilvia or PSI cruise  (said tongue-in-cheek for any members of said groups who are offended by this comment). :P - I have been on a number of these type of cruises and whilst kind of fun (if you count being stuck behind some f**kwit in an old laser {that he thinks is heaps quick but is slow as shite} or similar through the hills as fun) they are not that great. Pretty much every one I have been on there is a major accident or defect blitz. I got stuck in the Newton shopping centre for over 2 hours last ns.com cruise I went on :O - some dickhead in a PT Cruiser that thinks he has the best stereo in the world cranked it right up at minight and attracted every cop in a 5km radius - so they blocked off the carpark entry/exits and proceeded to (or attempt to) defect pretty much every car in the carpark.

yeh i know wat u mean andrew, when theres idiot drivers it stuffs up the cruise, but yeh i dont mind small 1's, but i just thought it would b nice 2 have 50 skylines driving through town n every1 going 'wowwwwwww' lol but yeh i went on a holden cruise last yr n some idiot decided to drift through the car park and into the carwash bays n slammed into the wall n just drove off haha idiot, then this guy in a xr8 came and tried 2 show off 2 the holdens by doing a burnout infront of them, and as he did it 4 cop cars surrounded him hahahaha.

I guess once bitten...twice shy, hey Andrew. I was fortunate to have missed that Newton car park fiasco.

Vange: Even if u have a large cruise & let the cops know its no guarantee that people will not act likes hoons or stop the police from defecting u. This was demonstrated in the last charity cruise that went down to Victa, where I was told there was like 1 cop for every 5 cars & more money was raised from fines & defects. Not the type of cruise u'd want to go on.

Ive also found that the cruises kept small & oraganised through emails/ PMs have all gone with out a hitch. Also, I know that the police have a rating (1-6) for each meet/ hot spots which, u should be aware of when selecting meet spots. They normally have undercover patrolling these spots :D.

Last night, drving along some rd past city, having my 3 mates in my skyline i see a Red skyline with some werid looking spoiler in the rear mirror.

He gun it! n took over me pretty bad... I hope u feel hardcore...over taking a non turbo with 3dudes in da car.

    • I had 3 counts over the last couple of weeks once where i got stranded at a jdm paint yard booking in some work. 2nd time was moving the car into the drive way for the inspection and the 3rd was during the inspection for the co2 leak test. Fix: 1st, car off for a hour and half disconnected battery 10mins 4th try car started 2nd, 5th try started 3rd, countless time starting disconnected battery dude was under the hood listening to the starting sequence fuel pump ect.
    • This. As for your options - I suggest remote mounting the Nissan sensor further away on a length of steel tube. That tube to have a loop in it to handle vibration, etc etc. You will need to either put a tee and a bleed fitting near the sensor, or crack the fitting at the sensor to bleed it full of oil when you first set it up, otherwise you won't get the line filled. But this is a small problem. Just needs enough access to get it done.
    • The time is always correct. Only the date is wrong. It currently thinks it is January 19. Tomorrow it will say it is January 20. The date and time are ( should be ! ) retrieved from the GPS navigation system.
    • Buy yourself a set of easy outs. See if they will get a good bite in and unthread it.   Very very lucky the whole sender didn't let go while on the track and cost you a motor!
    • Well GTSBoy, prepare yourself further. I did a track day with 1/2 a day prep on Friday, inpromptu. The good news is that I got home, and didn't drive the car into a wall. Everything seemed mostly okay. The car was even a little faster than it was last time. I also got to get some good datalog data too. I also noticed a tiny bit of knock which was (luckily?) recorded. All I know is the knock sensors got recalibrated.... and are notorious for false knock. So I don't know if they are too sensitive, not sensitive enough... or some other third option. But I reduced timing anyway. It wasn't every pull through the session either. Think along the lines of -1 degree of timing for say, three instances while at the top of 4th in a 20 minute all-hot-lap session. Unfortunately at the end of session 2... I noticed a little oil. I borrowed some jack stands and a jack and took a look under there, but as is often the case, messing around with it kinda half cleaned it up, it was not conclusive where it was coming from. I decided to give it another go and see how it was. The amount of oil was maybe one/two small drops. I did another 20 minute session and car went well, and I was just starting to get into it and not be terrified of driving on track. I pulled over and checked in the pits and saw this: This is where I called it, packed up and went home as I live ~20 min from the track with a VERY VERY CLOSE EYE on Oil Pressure on the way home. The volume wasn't much but you never know. I checked it today when I had my own space/tools/time to find out what was going on, wanted to clean it up, run the car and see if any of the fittings from around the oil filter were causing it. I have like.. 5 fittings there, so I suspected one was (hopefully?) the culprit. It became immediately apparent as soon as I looked around more closely. 795d266d-a034-4b8c-89c9-d83860f5d00a.mp4       This is the R34 GTT oil sender connected via an adapter to an oil cooler block I have installed which runs AN lines to my cooler (and back). There's also an oil temp sensor on top.  Just after that video, I attempted to unthread the sensor to see if it's loose/worn and it disintegrated in my hand. So yes. I am glad I noticed that oil because it would appear that complete and utter catastrophic engine failure was about 1 second of engine runtime away. I did try to drill the fitting out, and only succeeded in drilling the middle hole much larger and now there's a... smooth hole in there with what looks like a damn sleeve still incredibly tight in there. Not really sure how to proceed from here. My options: 1) Find someone who can remove the stuck fitting, and use a steel adapter so it won't fatigue? (Female BSPT for the R34 sender to 1/8NPT male - HARD to find). IF it isn't possible to remove - Buy a new block ($320) and have someone tap a new 1/8NPT in the top of it ($????) and hope the steel adapter works better. 2) Buy a new block and give up on the OEM pressure sender for the dash entirely, and use the supplied 1/8 NPT for the oil temp sender. Having the oil pressure read 0 in the dash with the warning lamp will give me a lot of anxiety driving around. I do have the actual GM sensor/sender working, but it needs OBD2 as a gauge. If I'm datalogging I don't actually have a readout of what the gauge is currently displaying. 3) Other? Find a new location for the OEM sender? Though I don't know of anywhere that will work. I also don't know if a steel adapter is actually functionally smart here. It's clearly leveraged itself through vibration of the motor and snapped in half. This doesn't seem like a setup a smart person would replicate given the weight of the OEM sender. Still pretty happy being lucky for once and seeing this at the absolute last moment before bye bye motor in a big way, even if an adapter is apparently 6 weeks+ delivery and I have no way to free the current stuck/potentially destroyed threads in the current oil block.
