are there many other stagea owners in nsw?

ive got a maximum budget of 950,000 yen FOB, do you think i am likely to pick a nice example for that kind of price?

You will get nothing but crap for that type of price ie accident damaged etc etc. You normally would need to spend 1.3 to 1.4M yen (or higher) for a good condition Four S...

Thats what I was thinking Ian.... under $1m yen just isnt enough for a S2 manual, maybe ok for a S1 auto.

For a nice condition version s2 manual a minimum 1.5m yen would be needed. For Sure. Or buy one already imported, for 25k or less.

I would be extremely surprised if you could get a "four s", already imported, for $25K - in reasonable condition! Read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=73058 from start to finish... Especially my post at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...8entry1378058

thanks funkymonkey, and a special thanks to J-Spec.

yesterday i won a silver s2 rs four s manual with a rating four, check out the pics.

it has a bodykit with 260rs front bar, aftermarket suspension, aftermarket exhaust, and rims.

Good luck with it, however in my experiance, ive often found the great bargains in the world end up being not so great ...

But, dont fret, i am sure its only because its higher KM that the price was that low. Good luck with it and cant wait to see it on the road.

What city is it coming to?

yesterday i won a silver s2 rs four s manual with 110,000 kms with a rating four for a mere 760,000 yen FOB, check out the pics.

I assume the auction report you have has the vin number and the production year (both missing from the one you posted). If you PM the VIN number I'll check it in FAST to tell you exactly what the model/year is.

And don't forget for compliance you'll have to put normal suspension and exhaust on etc etc.

Excellent buy if it turns out OK (which hopefully it will!)! Keep us all informed.

The VIN number is on the auction report, its just been split into two places as this auction does. Its WGNC34-122104, which is a 10/1998 built RS Four S.

yes i am aware that the exhaust suspension and wheels need to be changed over for compliance but i will get the workshop to put it all back on once complied, and i have allowed for this extra cost in my budget.

the stagea will be imported to QLD then once complied it will be transported to my place (Western Sydney)

so are there many other stagea owners around sydney? and are any of them involved in the SAU NSW car club? as i am interested in joining once i have gotten my car.

Out of curiosity EGA41T, I take it you would need to borrow the exhaust/wheels/ whatever else is modified from the compliance place to get rego.

Now does that mean that it needs to have the stock parts on when you get it checked in Sydney? Meaning you need to get the car trucked down to Sydney, then send the stock parts back to Queensland?

Sorry.. just trying to make some sense of it...

if its complied in QLD , it will need stock parts at the time of complience , then these can be removed and aftermarket parts added back before its shipped down to sydney . Once its in nsw it just has to meet roadworthy requirements to be registered

yeah pretty much, it has 17" rims standard so i could have upto 19" rims and still wouldnt be a problem with rego

although i have no idea how loud it will be so that is another issue.

does anyone in nsw know if you need to get a blue slip after the vehicle is complied in brisbane to get it registered?

    • Thanks mate, couldn't find in VIC, ended up ordering one from NSW, getting rwc to get new plates and registration done.
    • Before all the EFR fan boys come in, have a look at: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/g-series-ii-g30-825-58mm/ It also comes in a T4 1.06 divided housing. I would dare say if you want response & also decent power, this thing would chop.   AND apologies, just re-read your post, you've already bought the turbo... whatever you do, make sure you stick with divided housing and proper twin scroll manifold.
    • People have got to stop doing that. ShatGPT is not a search engine. It is a hallucination factory.   I also would recommend the 1.05. The .83 will "work" for you , in that it will be more responsive, but I think you'll find that it won't be anywhere near as good running it out to 8000rpm as the big housing will be.
    • Decided for the first time ever I would tow my car TO the track day on the same working theory as bringing tools and spares "if I have it I wont need it, but if I leave it behind i will 100% need it" all setup and ready to go out and try these A050 for the first time First session showed I needed to stiffen up the dampers a touch but still managed a few 1:21's without much effort. things were looking good. Came in a dropped the tyres down  to 26/28 as they had gotten to 35/33C from 22C cold The first lap of session two I managed to drop into 1:20's. Then in the second lap into the second session. Coming into T3 and I suddenly lost brake pedal followed by some huge rear end vibrations and scraping sounds. Got it back into the pits after session ended and found this. in the attached video, all of the wobble is in the hub its self, wheel is mint, and bearing feels tight. lKXLqpd - Imgur.mp4   Deciding it was a bent spindle I tried to find bearing/hub assembly locally but was unsuccessful so it was loaded back onto the trailer i luckily brought it on to drag it back home
