‘Twas the week before Christmas

And all ‘round the place

People were making big plans

To eat, smoke and drink to get off their face

For Christmas has changed

Both for you and for I

As things have gotten commercial

And the true family holiday has died

No longer can we wrap presents

To sit under a shopping centre’s “Giving Tree”

Just in case some wacko might strike

With a bomb instead of something that might bring glee

And to sing carrols by candlelight

Might offend some religions

Even though they’re as Aussie

As Cronulla Beach and it’s minions

So some will same I’m “not festive”,

some will say “bitter and twisted”

I just think that the whole point

Of the Christmas holiday has been missed…

All I want for Christmas, besides the proverbial “two front teeth”

Is to be with my family and a tree with presents underneath

Maybe if it’s nice outside,I’ll take my pride and joy for a drive

And hope the Law and the RTA wont have murder in their eyes

For it’s this one day of every year that a quiet cruise is a must

Boost if you will, supplied by HKS,Apexi and Trust

And know, fellow ‘Liners, that all good thing may come to you

But first you need to set the standards that others will follow along to

So think before you drink

And take your racing to the track

Enjoy a day off on the 25th

And whilst you may not see my car for a while after then,

Be assured;the GT-R will be back!

in Britian last year, 500 people died as a result of car crashes, and 2500 people died as a result of alcahol abuse, but only 120 people died of drinking and driving.....I'm not taking any chances this year, so before i get behind the wheel i'll be well and truly smashed, it's the safest way!

*runs from screaming mob!..........

Merry Christmas guys. Thanks to everyone who has put faith in us this year with their engines, I hope you're happy with what you got. It's so much more enjoyable doing work for people who are passionate about their cars and interested in what is being done, there's a real sense of satisfaction when you finally bolt the tappet covers on an engine that you know someone will really enjoy and look after. It beats doing a reco for Fred Bloggs for his camira that he has blown up and doesn't really want to fix but has to.

Drive VERY safely and enjoy the break, I hope you and your families have a great time and Santa brings you what you want! (how many sets of forged pistons and Power FC's can you fit in a santa sack?).

PS: Richard, I'll leave some chrissy cake and a glass of milk out for the old silver thing downstairs.

*RANT*

Well my Christmas' have always been pretty shit but now they have been destroyed forever cos Im only going to think of my Grandad (who died only a week ago), every christmas from now on.... yay. :D

BAH HUMBUG!! I hate this time of year!

Why must we all go through the pain of spending shite loads of money buying presents for people who either already know that we love them or people we dont really like that much at all that we are only buying a present fo cos they bought one foe us and then you have to go see family and "friends" that you dont ever see any other time of year and youre only going to see them to seem "nice" but really you couldnt be f*cked seeing them at all and really they couldnt give a shit whether you went to see them either!!!!!!!!!! Its all just a commercialised crap, annoying and exhausting time of year that leaves you poor and with a roomful of presents that you never wanted and never had any use for!!!!!

Phew, I feel better now :)

    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
    • Skyline R33 Series 2 sedan tail lights in excellent condition. These are becoming harder to find, especially in this state.    BOTH SETS ARE IN FANTASTIC CONDITION (REFER TO PHOTOS)    ✅ No broken covers or cracks ✅ Lenses are in flawless condition ✅ All rear mounting lugs intact ✅ Comes complete as pictured ✅ Perfect for restoration, replacement, or upgrade   These lights are ready to go, no surprises just quality OEM parts.   These are definitely one of the better sets we have seen in a while. With minimal wear and tear they will come as you see. Bear in mind they are not brand new they are almost 30 years old now. To find them in this condition isn’t easy they can only be obtained on the second hand market.   Australia Wide Postage Available At Buyers Expense. • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
