Ok, hopefully some of the people that couldnt last time can this time,

Well, based on last times events, I would have to say that Jells Park is a good location because there are heaps of BBQ's if its a nice day, heaps of parking, and not TOO far for anyone. (Unlike areas of the dandenongs etc)

So, Melbourne Stagea Meet #2

Location: Jells Park Wheelers Hill Map 71, K7

Date: First weekend in Febuary, Sunday Feb 5th, Midday 12:00 Noon.

Events: BBQ session, BYO food/drinks, chats etc

We will use the same carpark as last time. Enter through the "in" gate, go around the big carpark in a circle, take the south heading left turn at the turning point and then proceed to the third car park on the right with BBQ's next to it. Circled in red. The road is one way, so follow the red arrows.

I left a months notice so that people could get the cars on the road by then or have theirs arrive from being imported.

I MAY have manualized the car by then, less the interior.

Also the suspension should definatly be in there too ;)

I am puting the deposit on my new baby tomorow..

When people mention 'deposit' and 'baby' in the one sentenance, they normally aren't talking about cars - though the stagea does have enough room in the back..

I'll probably be able to make it. Bayside Blue, Series 2, Four S :-)

Ian

I have sent out PM's to

- stagi-r

- michaeljquinn

- muck

With a link to this post, hopefully we will make this meet HUGE (in stagea standards) hehe

I work shift work (12hr) and have to work that day,but i keep an eye on everything and sooner or later i'll make it. I have missed all the GTI-R owners ones for the last 3 years!!

I AM a member of SAU VIC, but noones bloody given me that blue thing yet!

I went to the Xmas BBQ too!!

Ive got all my cards, lanyards etc, but no membership yet :D

Anyone that isnt a Stagea owner, but wants to find out more is more then welcome to come. Hopefully this can convince some people to actually buy stageas :P

Ian came to the show and shine we held from memory.

Yep, dropped in with a very dirty bayside blue S2, and was surprised people were interested in it :-) - though I did not enter the competition (and next time I'll give it a wash, and I still haven't fixed the broken mirror). Would have taken the R34 around except the wife was in it... :-) (plug, the R34 is for sale, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=98570, as we really don't need two cars! :-)

But no, I haven't joined the vic SAU, every time I go to do it I get too confused by the forms....

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
