VLs are the best '1st car' i reckon, got a bit of poke and they last for ages....

Thats an impressive engine bay for sure!

However the red rocker cover with high mount GT35/40 would also look impressive :P

I hope the body/interior on your VL is nearly as good as the engine bay?!

Heres a couple of pics of the exterior aswell as the interior. :D

I know the plates seem a bit silly on a near stock N/A 5 Speed which is why im getting rid of them next year when the rego runs out. :)

Also the tacho is getting the boot aswell. :)

I want to try to keep it as classy and as clean as I possibly can.

gotta love the vl's, ive owned a rb30et SL for my first car (wrote it off, whoops hehe) and then i got a calais with rb26 in it.

memories, painted the engine bay and covered every unused hole in site, what a pain hehe, but it looked awesome. too much hassle so i aint gonna bother on the stagea lol

cheers guys, the purple vl i sold at the start of this year and its now running the stagea rb25 with a z32 300tt 5 speed, and i took the 26 out and its in the stagea.

the guy who bought it used to come on here occasionally, but i havent spoke to him since the sale, so i dont know whats the go with it now.

looked nice and went hard and sure turned heads, but cops also turn their heads so i decided to sell for something with abit more modern parts inside and the sleeper appearance plus 4wd traction, as i couldnt imagine leaving the purple vl anywhere at shops or outside nightclubs or something, some wanker would scratch it or even steal it.

my aim was a feature in zoom or street commodores with that car but i had soo many issues in the 3 years of the ownership i didnt get it running correctly before i changed my mind to go with a stagea.

cheers

Brad

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
