Ugh what a shocking night :( :(

* Bad gear selection problems on all 5 runs

* Ben can't drive

* New rear muffler is super restrictive so I had no top end and low boost

* Ben can't drive

* Paul decides their aren't enough clouds in the sky so makes his own

* Ben can't drive

* Mark has a damaged gearbox

Ah well I still did a new PB's for everything (R/time, 60ft, TS, ET) so I guess I got what I set out to do. I'll be out there again sometime over the next month hoping for a massive improvement.

f**king worst experience of motoring i have ever done

shithouse f**king gearbox. did not wanna break it (so i would be around long enough for the burnout comp!!) so launched off slicks with low revs - bog down and get shithouse times

whack some streeties on. cant get into 2nd gear on the drag.

then burnout comp. car works for 30 seconds. then lose all power

f**k cars

wish i had a 6 pack in the fridge right now

Nick you bastard you didnt even say hi !!! :blink:

First time ever out on the drag strip.....so yeah not too pissed off but not too happy either about the 13.9.

What did piss me off was the fact that I only got 3 runs in the space of 3 hours......

Mark once again thanks for lending me the helmet......and I hope ya can get ya car up and running again..

Paul and Stace it was nice to finally meet yall :D

Lets hope it IS an oil seal and nothing major........

Did someone say twin HKS 3037s ???? :D

Ruk thanks for the ciggies between the runs........helped calm the nerves :D hehehehe....

Mona you suck at being pit crew......haha only kidding....thanks for coming out :)

Ok now that all the thankyous etc are out of the way.....I have to say that I now have a lot more "respek" for this drag racing thing....its not as easy as I thought.....and wsid only being 10min from my house...I think I could get addicted :D

but nah....have to stay true to circuit racing...

Oh and Pete...ie fatz....I cant beleive you carry an esky with you everywhere you go !!!!! oh and when can I get one of them clutchfcuker shirts ?? :D

hahahaha....

sounds like a busy night. did you run nick?

What kind of time did paul run before the failure?

and ben, must be good to be out in the GTR mate. i think we need to work on those short times though :P with the 104mph you should be able to drop down that time a bit without needing any more power. congrats though on breaking into the 13 sec zone :O:) :)

yeah pete is great eye candy to have around too. only problem is i can never score when he's near by as all the chicks are fighting each other to get into his pants.

lol i go once a year

and every time i go i say man that was boring as shit... what a waste of time... and once again i left with the same feeling

mind you he two scouters running a 29's each was a highlight

the gtr that blew the turbo seal man you should have heard it at half track lol id say 10-20 seconds away from a massive engine blow up go the 5 cylinder gtr

marks car is dead and might have ripped its last burnout for a while

best part was the burnout truck ... yea baby

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
