Hi Brendan,

Interested on getting a kit, just want to confirm, does the Ryco Z145A fit the thread supplied? As Ryco lists it as 3/4-16UNF?

http://www.rycofilters.com.au/catalogue/product/make/Nissan/model/Patrol+GQ/part/Z145A

Cheers, Josh

Just ordered kit yesterday. What filter should i be using? can anyone recomend a part no.

Hi,

Any screw-on M20x.15 bolt size oil filter will do - Ryco Z160 from memory but not 100% sure.

You can contact any auto parts store and they should be able to help.

I've got this kit on my car. Great kit but I've got to say, it probably works too well... I recommend getting a thermostat if you buy this kit otherwise your oil will take way too long to warm up. I've done a 30 minute drive on the way home from work and my oil temperature didn't move from cold before I put a thermostat on.

I suggest either:

I've read good things about this one and I believe a few people on here use it.

or

I used this type as it is easier than the other one. Seems to work well.

I use the Ryco filter Z148A. Pretty much exactly the same size as the Z145A except with a different thread pitch.

Also the lines are WAAAAYYY too long and had to be cut down to fit on my 32 and would be better if it came with more 90 degree connectors.

Thanks for the feedback - yeah the 15 row oil cooler is very good and keeping the temperature down (maybe too good)!

I will be looking into getting some thermostat's in soon as well, have had a lot of interest in them.

In regards to the length of hosing, a lot of them are fitted to large 4WD's for country driving so they make good use of the length, they are universal in fitment.
