  1. i dont think anyone was upset he went to jail. the system that let him accumulate 121 odd points is at fault just as much as him. he was convicted of fraud and is serving time for that. all round hes got no respect from me(particularly as i know the full story of what he did and its pretty f**kin low), and from the sentiments expressed in the threads started on the day this artical was published hes got no respect from others either, only those who profess to being his friend. perhaps when he gets outta jail he will have learnt some respect for other peoples lives, their earnings and belongings but it remains to be seen.
  2. eug actually very few people at boostcruising(i cannot speak for cruising brisbane) have respect for phill, you should probably point your guns directly at the people who claim they are friends with them instead of branding the whole site.
  3. so which is it? bad to run your injectors at higher than 80%? or ok so long as you have a shitload of fuel pressure behind it ie uprated pumps ect? i remember being told a while back by a well known mechanic that theoreticly you shouldnt be running your injectors at their maximum performance figure edit:- i understand that you CAN run them at 100% but is it safe and or wise to do so?
  4. apparently its r32 gtr hes driving these days iirc *shrug* still no licence incidently guys remember that this brand of dyno reads differently to dyno dynamics and results are only comparable to runs made on the same dyno, thinking back to when the 31 club held a dyno day at allstar there was some grumbles about low power readings compared to what people were expecting(personally i was just glad my car didnt blow up). good to see theres a place that will run the dyno of a night, these nights were very popular when we held them at mercury
  5. people achieve high 200s low 300s on standard plenums, i would think youd have no problems with a greddy copy howerver be sure to get it cleaned and prepped so there is no chance of debris coming off the manifold and going through your engine, otherwise you wont be saving much money.
  6. lights not guages, besides iirc he has a avc-r. they are generally as accurate if not higher in accuracy than your dash speedo
  7. you dont need dash lights to race at willowbank. check your fuses and your dimmer, occasionally those things die simply cause compliance mobs use cheap shit.
  8. ^^ been there done that changing things now, its been a few years since i spent money on it
  9. *oh noes dragging up an old thread* bad james bad james i picked up a 2500kg trolley jack at repco for around 300 dollars on the weekend. i think its a bit taller than 100mm, but if you drive your car up onto a block of wood under the front wheels you can easily slide this thing under the front cross member.
  10. well having your shifter re threaded isnt going to help you much, as the new thread will be thinner than the diameter required to fit your shift knob. i suggest you go to a spair parts or wrecker and ask for a shifter, or buy yourself an aftermarket shifter. you wont have much luck at all putting your gear knob onto the shifter once you re tap the thread.
  11. Anyone who claims they havent sped or done something stupid behind the wheel is full of it. This guys admitted in his first post that he learnt his lesson and keeps his foot off the gas as he doesnt want to be back on public transport, if his word is true (as hard as it is to decypher) then he hasnt been doing stupid speeds in areas where he shouldnt be doing them. If you READ the topic and not get so hot under the collar about what he did, you will find that hes talking about superficial friends. He is right too, fastest way to find out who your friends are is write down a list of who gave you a lift (and or thought were your friends) when your car is off the road or whatever and see how many return the favour.
  12. big turbos are fun that manifold looks like it would be a hell of a lot easier to get the nuts on and off, mine takes hours to do,
  13. unfortunatly i havent got a licence, but if there is something organised ill try to arrange for a driver and show up. hope your wife and son enjoy the sunshine state
  14. congratulations guys hopfully with plenty of voulenteers for these kinda displays and events the clubs profile can continue to grow. well done
  15. hummm.... interesting....
  16. i used to have access to a pit but that was before my interest in cars. pity when i have to put the car up for long periods i use axle stands. i gave some thought a long time ago to building some specialised ramps for my car but the reality is theyd have to be so long and gradual that it was hardly worth it.
  17. wasteland is a rather unfriendly place, i can see why people would rather start fresh with somewhere thats specific to the goldcoast area. my two cents is meh.
  18. well done john, from gettin spanked by slip's 31 to the beast it is now, long time coming, good luck chasing those times
  19. try calling a few panel beaters, they might be able to help you out
  20. seriously ed, easy fix, get a piece of 2mm steel sheet metal. Cut it into the shape of a 2 bolt exhaust flange, drill 20 or so holes in it (less depending on how quiet and how much power you want to loose) and then slide it up between your catback and cant converter flanges. oh, who won overall?
  21. theres been a few topics on this basicly only a hks dealer can tune it. to my knowledge there is no one in qld that can tune it. you have to go to bd4s in sydney
  22. will be sad to see it go mate. good luck with the sale.
  23. looks pretty much like my single plate 5 puck unsprung organic button clutch but in a multiplate. its on or its off, it shudders, its noisy, its an absolute bitch in traffic. its there to handle the torque my cars setup puts out you get used to it but why youd sign up for that unless you needed it is kinda beyond me. otherwise my clutches end up like this but seriously, it seems like overkill
  24. well if its gonna be like that time for a big turbo cruise *nods*
  25. jason is the sidemount master. and thats a rather large one there. i originally went lookin for a arc sidemount for my s13.
