  1. Besides the parts required in that link Josh shared of my build i'd not go manual without also be keeping in mind throttle issues. Driving my M35 as manual with the standard electronic throttle was very painful. Cheers
  2. Oh and all parts are currently stored at Seaford Meadows 5169 South Australia Cheers
  3. M35 Stagea moving out sale Gday lads, Moving to Tassie from South Australia and am cleaning out the garage with all the stuff i simply don;t have the room to move. Main bits left are which all came off a 2003 M35 250t RS. Stock M35 exhaust - $100 Stock Leather electric front seats - $200 Emanage with wiring harness + wideband + Map - $800 Scottys 3inch intake with pod filter (NOT COMPLETE) $50 Stock air box - $50 Stock intercooler - $50 PICK UP ONLY. I'm in the middle of moving states folks and have no time and live an hour away from my nearest depo for freight. To avoid being offended when i say no just don't ask Cheers
  4. Had to add a plate to the inside rails as the R35 seats have a low outside and a high inside. I assume that's due to the R35's floor not being flat.
  5. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/461282-m35-seating-options/ post number 19 for pics of my R35 seats. Paid $1200 for the seats with rails however i ended up modding the stock M35 rails
  6. There is no victor in this discussion.... We all lose. Best of luck though Will... post results with whatever you end up going for. I'd be interested for sure
  7. I agree. Do the appropriate checks yourself using people you can trust and never trust proven con artists. Wow that also looks like I'm giving advice for anyone asking about Joseph Smith
  8. Check out the R & D Mechanical thread re: the conversion. I'm still awaiting tuning but hopefully soonish. People are busy (which is understandable) and i'm getting limited help elsewhere at the moment with this stuff... Once tuning is sorted i'll have more info to post
  9. I've seen it!!! It's in my driveway right now...

    Hi Wagoneers

Nice. Mine is at Tyrepower Seaford for new tyres.. sidewall cracked on one of the rears so just sorting out replacing them all.

    Hi Wagoneers

+1 If you are ever down south i'll keep an eye out
  12. haha... don't start this again with Josh
  13. check with Matt (BoostdR) about what he runs. I know he is running some fairly wide 20's all round on his M35
  14. I'm a complete outsider when it comes to turbo design and really have no idea what works and what doesn't. I guess what i don't understand is why less than 2 years ago a highflow that i purchased has now gone through what... 5 or 6 revisions to what is being sold today??? Perhaps the fault in my set up is elsewhere and once i get better tuning with my emanage i'll happily post results. I am very happy that constant r & d is being done to improve what options we M35 owners have and we all have to decide what money we spend on our cars and what we want out of them... I'm not saying 5 or 6 different versions of the SS2 have been sold to people but you can see my point. Dropping large amounts of dollars on pulling turbo's on and off is not something i'm keen on,,, my money can be spent better elsewhere. I'll be testing out this new actuator you send me once it's ready Tao but i just can't justify at this stage spending any more money on a hypergear product until I've gotten all i can out of my original SS2. I do appreciate your ongoing development with the M35. I'm sure we all know that the market for these things continues to grow.
  15. From my reading here Lakes101 (Nathan) and Daleo are both running much less than 30psi with the Intense turbo so i'd be interested to see dyno readings from them as a comparison. Mainly to see how soon it makes boost etc... They have both probably provided these already and i'm not remembering I care a lot less about peak power and more about response after all. I'll gladly put up results after my next bout of tuning but it will be me still using a R1 SS2 Hypergear unit with hopefully one of Tao's newer actuators. Again if i'm not happy i'll have a turbo decision to make but i will have to be really careful as i agree 100% with Scotty that myself as the customer should not have to be responsible in any way to test / R & D anything to do with a turbo being sold to me by a private business. Unless of course prior arrangements have been made, Cheers

    Ebay Finds

I'd like to think this has been tested before by the guru's... I'm dying for some throttle control in the manual but i'm still awaiting a sensor for my emanage before i can think about tuning. I'm not even sure if / what the emanage tune will effect the feel of the throttle
  17. More good info lads. Cheers. This is also my daily and i'm going to see what can be achieved with my current turbo set up but if the turbo is not suitable at the end of all this i will have a decision to make. many adjustments to make between then and now but i do like to see what is working for others.
  18. Those results kinda speak for themselves.I assume this was running E85 and decent boost?
  19. Ok went for more of a drive this morning... The main good things to report are that in general it's a much smoother drive. Prior to the brake cut mod i'd see occasional vibration from the clutch on take off but this seems to be in relation to the throttle restriction as while there is still the odd bit of vibration it's drastically better than before (completely gone on most take offs). The car is smoother through gear changes and that feeling you get when driving a manual with electronic throttle that makes you question if you can actually drive a manual properly seems to have smoothed out too. Hopefully tuning will help this further... still waiting for some bits to arrive to assist tuning and then that shall be next. Cheers
  20. Finally sorted the brake cut mod however seeing as i have an engine light on 100% of the time due to emanage it was a simple cut pin55 and not worry about adding a switch etc to reset the light. I'll worry about that later. I didn't get to drive much yet but will have more of a play later. First impression is yes it certainly feels different but until i have sorted some tuning i'm not that game to give it some decent launches. o2 Wideband sensor controller and Emanage boost pressure MAP sensor has been ordered so hopefully some results in the next few weeks.
  21. top info Scotty. I'll try sort the brake cut mod asap and report back with results with the manual. I should have sorted this mod ages ago but i wasn't sure which direction i was going to go in. Cheers
  22. I'll have a fresh read of your thread me thinks. Cheers
