  1. Ok back to me asking questions that have probably been pondered upon by many before. I have read many posts but i'll add it here to attract fresh ideas. Cable throttle Driving my M35 as a RWD manual with an electronic throttle (the delay in response) is massively annoying. I'm hoping to get my emanage tune looked at to see what can be achieved and i read a post from years ago where Scotty had a play with an emanage + cable throttle with the auto, I also had a read of the adaptronic build with cable throttle. Knowing what people know now about the various ecu's what info would be relevant for me wanting to swap to a cable throttle. I'm at the stage now with my M35 that it's now time to focus 100% on getting it to run well and be a ball to drive. Cheers
  2. I shall get onto this during the week. Thank you good sir.
  3. Can i assume this isn't for an M35 Stagea? If it is i'll always enjoy seeing peoples results. If not i'm not sure how relevant it will be mate. Cheers
  4. Its the bloke who owns the shed next to the place that did my manual conversion. He does custom fabrication.
  5. No i don't mate. There is a build thread just for the manual conversion on R & D Mechanicals website.
  6. This car is really impressive. I did consider doing something similar minus the V8 but decided to the M35 Stagea route. I'm enjoying the episodes so far Top work mate.
  7. Exhaust done and dusted. Amazing job. Really happy with how it turned out. Sits much more snug against the car which was what i was really hoping for Sounds great. Not loud or droney and not much cabin noise (we did do a good job with insulation when i swapped the centre console when the manual was added). On too the next job!!!
  8. Cheers Matt. Once i have a bit of time i'll be chatting to you more. I was impressed with your knowledge. My exhaust is sorted and it's freaking amazing (pics to come in the other thread) so this is my next job to look at.... and the damn electronic throttle (oh and that reminds me to add the old 3inch exhaust + dump to my "things to sell" list)
  9. This is the reason i'll just wait to see results if people are willing to post them. It's my only issue with forums in that its hard to separate fact from opinion. With my manual conversion I was happy to work with the mechanic and give proper results and a sort of guide once complete as it may help others out. I'll have a look at the intense turbo results again next week sometime as progress needs to be made by myself Cheers
  10. Cheers Dale. I have a feeling i'll need to eventually swap out to another ECU due to the limitations of the emanage but there is still so much for me to gain before i get there
  11. more support from Haltech but would they support it if it was an M35?!?!?!?!?!?
  12. ok so... as a fairly disapointed Hypergear SS2 (pre any revisions) owner who simply wants a something that will not be a terrible laggy mess like the turbo i have now what would be my current options? Obviously i need my tune looked at (Emanage) and perhaps this will help things but reading what Matt is saying with his revised SS2 more development is sorely needed. I'll be watching this thread closely as my car will be back tomorrow with new exhaust sorted.... I really need to move on to tuning / turbo choices now.
  13. Dropped the Stagea off to have my custom exhaust built. From dump all the way to the back. Pictures to come by the end of the week
  14. Gday folks, Have a set of 4 brand new Varrstoen ES6's 5x114.3 in 19x9.5 +12 offset. Wheels only. These are in my opinion the best Meister replicas you can buy for those of us who have troubles justifying $4k on the real thing for a daily driver. These are now surplus to my needs so i need to move them on. These will set you back roughly $2200 from the US and am happy to negotiate a price. Would like to see offers around the $1800 mark and am happy to wait for the right buyer. Wheels are located in Adelaide southern suburbs. Buyer can arrange shipping if need be. PM for questions / info. Cheers
  15. Or like a manual swap perhaps All this info is awesome tho.
  16. Decided to drive to work Monday... This is how i got home lost hydraulic's in the clutch near work so i wasn't game to try and limp it home. No loss of fluid and the pedal would still return to the normal position... it was just the pressure point that went basically to the floor. Have since had it checked by my mechanic who couldnt for the life of him replicate the issue. When i drove it the next day it was back to normal... My mechanic still gave everything the once over and adjusted a few things and so far zero issues. Made me scratch my head tho...
  17. Wheels arrived. Should get a chance this weekend for a test fit and then comes the fun part of what needs to be done to get them to my liking... (tennis ball - cause tennis is on at the moment- for scale but it's a terrible picture )
  18. thats impressive... and i'd love to see that fit.
  19. I always appreciate the information and opinions. I ran an N1 exhaust first on my M35 but went fully custom due to the drone and have had custom for the last year and a half. Compared to what i have heard on youtube clips etc i would hardly call mine droney or loud in comparison but then again my experience with M35's is fairly limited to 3 owners cars. I may regret not going for a Fujitsubo this time but i'll try and post a clip once mine is sorted for science.
  20. "if made badly or ignorantly" I am getting a new exhaust made in the next few weeks. I'll try and post up how it sounds when done. I guess i could have just gotten a new dump / flex and joined the Fujitsubo crew but i like tackling things my own way with what i have at my disposal locally. Support the locals folks If the bloke i am using's other work is an indication of what i'm in store for it should be a nice bit of kit.
  21. So i bit the bullet after a bit if discussion and have ordered a set of these for my M35. WIll be a bit of a hassle to get them to fit but everything with my M35 is a hassle so why should this be any different. In the next few weeks my new exhaust should be sorted which will sit quite a bit higher to the body on my M35 so i can drop the whole car about 1-2 inches. Should look awesome. Then i will be 100% focused on tuning... turbo options... making the thing drive / respond how i want for the street with the manual.
  22. That's surprising... I personally wouldn't pay over $1200 for a pair of GTR seats. I've seen some come up on these forums a while ago and i picked mine up from a exotic wreckers in Adelaide.
  23. The price will vary but you can get them for about $1k for the pair. They turn up from time to time at various wreckers around the place. Ebay has them on occasion too...
