  1. Finally picked up the R35 GTR seats. They are in really good nick so i am pretty happy. Black with black stitching so they don't have the stupid red inserts. Next comes the job to get them fitted to the M35
  2. I'll take a look Josh cheers, Yes at this stage further mods will be on the way.. not sure how much more power it will make from the 240-odd kw's it's making now but i do see more in the future
  3. Rotors and pads added today. R35 GTR seats are still stuck in the container which they travelled from Japan in but hopefully they will be good to pick up this coming weekend. Also got a bloke to give the M35 a once over to find possible issues.... Looks like i have some forum searching to do re: cv boots / caster rod bushes and radiator (last one will be easy) Cheers
  4. Once all the bits are in the spare room i'll get cracking and take some pics Looking forward to getting these things done so i can move onto the next stage. I have a few blokes in Adelaide working on some options for me
  5. Rotors and pads arrived yesterday... R35 GTR seats should be fine to pick up next week. My aero bar should hopefully arrive within the next 2 weeks
  6. 2 silver M35's spotted (unless i saw the same one twice....) on my way out this morning heading towards Noarlunga.
  7. I kinda have the opposite Peter, I have money and no real commitments besides a very minor mortgage but i have to be happy with what i am spending. I'll certainly have more to say on this once my R35 seats are in and i fit brakes/pads. My target will be stand alone ECU, up to 300kw's and a manual conversion. If this can't be a reality then my M35 will stay as is power-wise. (after the above mentioned addons.. oh and the areo bar i have coming from Japan
  8. I may have some information to share in regards to this but not at the moment. I have a list of things i am doing at present but tuning is not on the top of it. The bloke i will be going to for my next bout of tuning has said he is willing to look into stock ECU modification as he believes the M35 to have enough support these days. However, I have brakes on the way and R35 GTR seats to fit... come to think of it i probably need to replace my front castor bushes (i think that's what you call them).
  9. For reference i am running basic mods with ss2 turbo and emanage. The result is 240 odd kw's. I am looking into an alternative for tuning but don;t really have any further info to give at this stage.
  10. Just convert to RWD manual first
  11. Once the bonnet is lined up and the whole thing polished that is gonna look awesome. (despite the wheels being too shineeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!)
  12. Wrong thread
  13. odds are it will be another wild goose chase but not much else i can do
  14. I have read the tread a while back i just wondered what he ended up going with. Cheers lads Also, nothing that hasn't been talked about enough already, a mob in Adelaide I spoke with last week regarding tuning who have quite a bit of exp tuning M35's are of the opinion that these cars are popular enough to now support. I sent him an email regarding what i hope to achieve and they are gonna get back to me. The are into keeping and tweaking stock ECU's (i assume Nistune style) and running piggy back set ups etc,. I know long time M35 owners already foresee the problems they will have but i'll report back with any info. Cheers
  15. What rotors did you fit mate?
  16. Ok so this is following the 350z path that Scotty has mentioned. Sourcing that stuff in Adelaide will be fairly simple. Still in the same spot for tuning options however but i'll persist
  17. Cheers Chris. I'll check this out when i clock off for the day.
  18. Bump - Turbo sold. Still have stock exhaust, suspension, injectors. Open to offers. Items in Adelaide.
  19. Not sure. I am in Adelaide....
  20. I assume someone other than Leks knows what box/clutch he used??? I heard of some people using a box from a 1JZ?!? I know some people have thought about this in length (Sorry Scotty) but i am still catching up and i can;t find answers to some of this in the manual conversion thread
  21. Cheers mate. I'll have a chat. If an F-Con will allow me to go manual RWD i'm thinking this is the best resault i can hope. *Edit* this is what Leks runs so it must work....
  22. sneaky Geeeze all i want is a manual M35 that will make decent use of the turbo / upgrades i have done... HOW HARD IS THAT!!!! (i know its kinda hard)
  23. Actually cancel that.... the bloke from Mercury reckons they started with a 350 or 370z map and went from there anyway which means perhaps the issues with the dash were a non issue. Also it depends on how much wiring is needed.... I'm not sure if you can tap into the factory stuff or if you need to re-wire the whole thing. Anyway i still need to fill in gaps with the manual conversion but i'll keep on looking. Oh and no tuners are licienced for Fcons here and none have the software so that is a lack of options sadly
  24. So even with a Haltech Elite taking care of the tuning and no factory ecu to deal with it's no good Scotty? I assume with someone starting from scratch with a Haltech Elite and building a tuning map will work but then saying that you'd need to wire it in which sounds super painful... (not to mention expensive) Would a F-Con (assuming i can find one and even more painfully get a loom) facilitate a manual swap??
  25. The bloke from Mercury mentioned that they had to stay with the factory ECU as the customer has decided to stick with the factory auto. So the stock ECU is remaining at present. Is this throttle delay that the brake cut "helps" coming from the factory ECU? as this will be something that goes alomg with the ECU I will enquire more about the Haltech regarding running the stock dash with tuners who have used them before but at least i have some indication that this will work. The $$$ i will decide later if i want to make the investment but everyone has differing budgets. I'll look at 350z compatibility too.
