I ordered some super wagons and went to have them fitted today only to have the workshop tell me that I have a fork configuration in the rear setup and the suspension will not fit.
He seems to think that I have M35 rear suspension and it is due to an accident in Japan that 'may' have happened.
Im pissed as I asked them to check the rear suspension before ordering as mentioned in this thread that it is different to an Auto stagea.
Has anyone (RS4S only) got a part number we can use? or does anyone know if the 260rs is the correct choice?
I dont think my car has been in any sort of accident as I have had it check previously.
I have read that the GTR suspension does fit (with some mods) but then is it the right thing to do or is the wagon to heavy?
Thanks for your help.
I love the look but there is no way that is inside the guard or legal, I just put on R34 GTR wheels last night and ill see if i can upload some pics to show you that there is a little room for going bigger. Up front they look about right but on the rear they look like you could fit something a little bigger.
It is an RS4S I dont know if it makes a difference
i have been told previously that 9.5 18 + 22 won't fit so I dont like your chances. Test fit them though you have nothing to lose.
At the end of all my rims searching i ended up buying R34 GTR wheels at least I know they will fit and later on if I decide to lower it I wont have any issues or need to lip the guard.
I have had a HKS 2535 on an R33 and I tried 3 different exhaust combinations and let me tell you the 2535 is a great punchy turbo but it really needs to breath!!!
If you can gut the cat and you will never look back, it really does make a massive difference.
Thanks,
All I am interested in is lowering it a little and want to keep that stock shocks, I have already spend a small fortune on the motor and dont race the car I just wanted it to sit a little lower to clean up the look.
Thanks
Dave
Thanks, so just to confirm, To lower my RS4S I will need to order R33 GTR springs?
I have been reading up heaps on the suspension thread but there isnt much info on the RS4S
Cheers
Dave
Another vote for Sabbadin.. He is near RE. I just got my car back from a dyno tune and I am VERY happy with the results and the way the car drives.
I have been going there for years with a few different cars and am very happy with his work.
I used to have the same setup on my R33 and to be safe I would turn the boost down on track days ad also run a quality octane boost.
Does it hold 19psi to redline? if it falls off towards the end of the rev range then it may not be to bad.
Is the motor built for 19psi?
Hey buddy do you have any pics.. I am super keen on a set for my Stagea.
Also is your car lowered and if so by how much? I was thinking about getting R34 GTR wheels and lowering it 30 - 40 mm but am not sure if it will be enough.
Thanks
Dave
I agree with not going past the 12psi, however a good boost controller may bring that 12psi on harder and sooner which is what I have found testing witht he boost controller on and off.
I use a Blitz ID-3 and have on two different motors (one being twin turbo) and have found it to be fantastic on both applications.
