  1. Ive got a CV8 Monaro and personally I love the LS1... build quality isnt the best when you compare them to a German or Jap car but it is a really nice comfy drive with a suprising amount of go..
  2. RE Customs isnt far or try Sabbadin Automotive which is 2 mins from RE. I have used Sabbadin for years modifying 3 different cars and have always been very happy with them.
  3. thats what my mechanic said that you cant get the exact ohm stated resistors
  4. you mean pin #51 right?
  5. Thanks for that, Ill give that a go... I just tried to turn the boost control off but of course it is in Japanese so i am assuming it is off at the moment as it has a diferent japanese character to the other warnings which i am assuming the tuner left on.. Thanks again to all for your help Dave
  6. I have #4 on my stagea (trust kit) and it is fantastic... no noticable difference to stock at all
  7. Why not install the heat shield over the GTRS? I did this with my 2535 and you would never know.. I have been in a couple of GCG equiped cars as well and they were quite nice, and similar to the 2535..
  8. If you want a cheaper option the HKS 2530 or 2535 would be great.. The 2530 as Ash mentioned would be a pretty punchy streeter being almost constantly ready to boost with your Auto Neo motor. The 2535 would be my pick, It had only slightly more lag than the stock R33 turbo
  9. yeap, car runs really well... 4x4 works and all. Still on the stock turbo but im seeing 13psi by 2700rpm, I forgot how responsive the stock turbos are.
  10. Duncan, the car is 4x4 and Tangles, I have the same information as you. The tuner said that he put an LED test light on Pin #51 and nothing happened and he also tried the k ohm resistor to earth and that didnt work either.. The car runs perfectly apart from the engine light.. he also mentioed that he thought the diagram in post 1 had the zender diode facing the wrong way (reducing voltage to ignition not the ecu) but I dont think he tried to swap it around.. Cheers Dave
  11. That is what is confusing me... It is a Series 2 Neo factory manual.. Is there meant to be a wire in the #51 pin? Everything does work perfectly and it is on the dyno right now but as you said the engine check light is on.. He also mentioned that he could not get a 400ohm resistor, only 390 or about 410 from memory could this be the problem? Does it need exactly 3.7v or will less do? Cheers
  12. Guys, My mechanic has tried this the EGA41T's method on pin #51 and said that nothing has happened... he also said that pin has no wire to the cars loom, is this normal? I think he is going to try the same method with pin #37 and maybe the 510k ohm resistor to pin 51 to earth. I would really appreciate any comment. Thanks Dave
  13. And without the hub adapter? Im looking at them for a Stagea, which is similar to a GTST offset Cheers
  14. i think you will notice it quite a lot without a boost controller.. I did the same as you and without the boost controller helping the turbo spool the car felt less responsive.
  15. Its your standard ECU buddy, leave it at 10psi until you do further tuning / ECU upgrade
  16. Just gut your cat.. I tested hiflow cats then put on a gutted cat and would never go back to having a cat in my car.
  17. Id go the R33 GTR.. I had a mint GTO with 272 awkw and I loved it, it was a monster on the street but I sold it as it is not a very practical car and was quite expensive to maintain and wont take the punishment that the GTR would.
  18. ah, I missed the RB20.. well then I agree with Ash 100%, I would even say that you would struggle to get 240rwkw with a 2535 RB20
  19. My R33 with a HKS 2535 made 244rkw at 14psi tuned by Ben at Racepace with all the supporting mods and an untouched motor. I agree with Ash and the 2530 not making 240rwkw, i have found with the 2530 and 2535 they will peak at a certain rwkw and then the more boost you put through them you gain massive midrange but not much up top. They 2535 is a fantastic turbo for the RB25
  20. That is awsome news!!! I couldnt decide if i should go split or bell mouth and its for a S2 Manual, I am also going to be buying a HKS GTRS.. Car goes in next weeks so im glad I chose the Bell Mouth...
  21. Im in if its the 20th.. There is no way I can make a Sunday before.
  22. Talking from experience, the exhaust made a HUGE difference on my HKS 2535... So if there is a restriction in the exhaust I would have that looked at but a flat 13 is pretty good!
  23. I agree, don't bother, I had a blitz one that worked well but ended up taking it out.
  24. I hate you all!!!!!!
