  1. Add preston/Heidleberg onto the list. I had my sterio stolen about a year ago in the NMIT carpark in Heidleberg. Lucky is was in my everyday car (VH commodore). Dodgy area. I wouldn't leave my skyline there. Avoid Epping as well. It's great having 2 cars for that reason. Don't need to stress about leaving it.
  2. Whenever I'm in warnambool with work I always see that tough looking Blue R32 parked on the main hwy outside autobarn. You know him Atreyu?
  3. Yeah I'll try to block it off, if not I'll make sure it's empty. Catch ya there.
  4. Unless if there is a guy coming who's name is Russell Cummings..... My real name is Russell Cunningham. Can't wait. Also, how tight is the scrutineering? I have a catch can installed and the overflow from the catch can is just plumbed to the ground. Has anyone been a scrutineer before and know what is looked at? Also, what are the important roadworthy things that they check for. It's a long drive to not pass the pits.
  5. Hey Sam. I'm busy tonight but if you are still doing it tomorrow night I can come after work. Where is it going? Where the datto was sitting? At least it's a bit cooler today! Russell
  6. I love what you find in imported cars!!! when I imported my R31, there was a cassette in the boot under the carpet. It was like techno from the early 90's. I love the flares too! Car looks awesome cowie. Good luck with the rust repair mate...
  7. You'll be pleased to know that the displays are a lot better than they used to be. I'm not sure if they are fully fixed but a lot better than they were say... 6 months ago. Last time I went was November. 15.37sec in a stockish RB20 R31 Coupe.
  8. Hope to make it. My name is Russell and I drive a black 32 GTSt with Advan rims. I might be cruizin with that celica.
  9. Just a note that this seller is genuine and trustworthy. I have had a successful buy from him.
  10. Well your belts are probably too loose or too tight. Feel if they have much slack in them. (Not while engine is running) Just take it back where is was serviced mate. They'll know what the problem is straight away. Things like A/C and power steering pumps and alternators put load on the belts and if they're not tight then they will slip and squeek. If they are too tight then these things (a/c p/s alt) can sort of seize up and squeek.
  11. If you're wanting a good job I reckon go with the replacement guard. For a little bit more money you can be sure that it won't come back for a long time. Say 1200 for the guards paint and labour. Welding, patch up work and paint would be close to a grand anyway. If you do it cheap I can almost guarantee that that rust will be back in 2-3 years. I'd still like to see some good photos of your GTR cowie!
  12. Turns out that I needed to replace the whole cable. All fixed
  13. the downside of welding in new panels is that welding introduces new spots to rust where the weld was done, if it is not painted immediately (also on the inside of the panel that you don't see). Also the heat generated by a crappy welder can cause the metal to warp slightly. However if you take it to a good panel shop with good mig welders and experienced panel beaters, you'll get a good job. You get what you pay for. It's just one of those bastard things that once it is started is really hard to stop.
  14. That'll do it! Hope is wasn't too costly...
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/R32-Skyline-Stereo-...1QQcmdZViewItem This may be what you're after.
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/R32-Skyline-Stereo-...1QQcmdZViewItem Saw this on ebay mate. I imagine they are hard to find.
  17. I have a 1990 Skyline GTSt and the speedo just stoped working while I was driving along. I have found that the part in the picture has a few small cracks in it and I think that is what is wrong. It mounts between the end of the speedo cable and the back of the cluster. Does anyone have one? Russell
  18. What wears over time, is it the little plastic thing or the end of the cable? Would the rest of the cable be ok? I'm hoping to get away with just replacing that little bit.
  19. When you replaced the cable, was that little plastic bit seperate or has my end snaped off? Was your problem the same as mine with the plastic bit split? I've been to wreckers but they will only sell the complete cable. thanks for the help.
  20. I have a 1990 Skyline GTSt and the speedo just stoped working while I was driving along. I have found that the part in the picture has a few small cracks in it and I think that is what is wrong. It mounts between the end of the speedo cable and the back of the cluster. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have one? I also noticed that the Hicas light came up at the same time. I am thinking that they are related and when I fix the speedo, the Hicas will be fine. does anone know?
  21. could be a broken drive shaft? Not sure if GTR's have a LSD diff in the front but if they were you could jack both front wheels up and spin one wheel and see if the other wheel spins too. If it spins in the opposite direction, then it is not LSD. If the other wheel spins in either direction then you can rule out a broken drive shaft. How hard were you launching?
  22. Well since everyone else is pledging their alegance to their favourite car makers I might as well add in. Nissan and Ford fan... Go Ingall!!
  23. Hey Greg Looks good. I'll be up soon to have a look! Russell
  24. Well I got my Christmas present a few weeks ago, the R32 that I bought from you! I'm just doing a service on it today and driving to mt Beauty in the morning. Moto riding for a week! Besides that, some clothes, V8 supercar calender, New mach 3 shaver that vibrates? Merry Christmas all, Russell
  25. I recomend using a clear vacuum hose on the bleed nipple so you can see the fluid and air bubbles being bled out. Do it until there is no bubbles in the system. and make sure you top up the reservoir or it will suck air back in. Good luck with it. And with the slave cylinder (mounted to bell housing), where can it leak to? If that was it then the fluid would be on the ground.
