  1. Yeah. the freight cost wouldn't make it worthwhile.
  2. noone need some drifting rims and tyres?
  3. HAHA You've gotta say it right too. Dony... Where in 'Dony' are you? I'm in Dony east near King st and blackburn roads.
  4. Wow man. Sorry to hear it's going... This car has all the goods!
  5. Did you grow up with the americans that are stationed at the military bases in germany? I went to high school at the Bamberg american military base. damn yankees. They are a different breed.... No offense....
  6. Hi I am selling 2 standard R32 GTSt rims and tyres and also 2 spare tyres. Rims have a few slight scratches but are straight and no buckles or gutter rash. I would like $180 for the lot. I am in Doncaster East Melbourne and pickup only. Tyres that are on the rims are dunlop 225/50/16 and the spares are goodyear 215/60/16. They have some tread 10-20% so fine for drift or track but probably not quite roadworthy. I was planning to use them for motorkhana's and drifting but need to get my clutch fixed. The last 2 pics are of 1 random tyre if anyone wants it for free. 215/55/16.
  7. If for some strange reason you will sell just the controller unit. Please let me know. Mine was stolen on the boat on the way over. Just the controller! What good would that be without the rest!
  8. I think I remember. You were going up the off ramp onto bulleen road. Why is everyone scared of showing their plates? Something I don't know about? Hey Chantra. what colour is your magna?
  9. Welcome mate. I also live in Doncaster East. If you see this R32 around, then it's me driving. Where in Germany are you from? I lived in Erlangen for 2 years in 1997 and 1998. Erlangen is near Nurenberg in Bayern. Go Bayern Munich!
  10. HAHA I've had the same problem with my commodore! Your problem will be a broken engine mount. As the engine twists, the engine will lift off the mount. It was a party trick for me for a while till I fixed it. I used to brake at the same time as loading up the engine by letting out the clutch with the engine revving (not moving obviously). The engine just pops up! It will be the left mount because of the way the engine rotates. mongrel of a job. Gotta lift up the engine to replace it. I just replaced my 6 with a V8. good luck!
  11. Who did you build the power stations for? Any of them in VIC?
  12. Yeah I find it hard to make friends too.... HAHA. I'm exited about electricity.
  13. I'm in the 4th year of my traineeship with Powercor. (If you don't live in western victoria... It's like T X who?) I work in electrical substations and look after the distribution systems protection and control system. Basically make sure black outs happen when there is a fault on the system and don't black out when they shouldn't. Hard to explain... but yeah.. High voltage stuff.
  14. His name is Ross and it was his first exposure to a motorsport event. The ride in snowy's GTR has ensured a future interest in the sport. He loved every minute of the day as did I. It was a pleasure to help out. Also great to meet more of you this time and have a chat. Highlights were the runs in Snowy and Petes cars. bugger... now he thinks my car is slow....
  15. I'll be there. More than happy to be an official and help out with timing etc...
  16. Just noticed bass junky posted in the vic section. he and miniwog are meeting at shell. 7am. I'll be meeting with them.
  17. Will meet you at the shell in my VH commodore (Gold). 7 am. Catch ya then.
  18. Is anyone driving up early saturday? I'm driving my dunnydore up there and I aim to get there about 8:30 since I'm not driving. So driving past the donnybrook shell at 6:30. If you want to cruise with awesome 4.2 litres of holden lack of grunt, post it here. Otherwise I'll see you all there...
  19. Yeah I'm in the same boat. Only got jap FM.
  20. The twin tail lights will be missed.... Looks like they are trying to revive the silhouette in that last pic.
  21. I reckon it's awesome! Just in a new age style. But yeah I agree... It's no R34. Just the way of the future. Just think of it... 15 years from now they will be drift cops!
  22. Coburg drive-in is a great idea.
  23. I've also had to pull out because of car problems. I was under my car having a look on the weekend checking things and changing tyres and noticed my exhaust is about to split in half. The centre mount has broken and the muffler and exhaust are about to seperate! Unfortunately I don't have the time this week or the cash to fix it so I'm out for this one. I am still hoping to be there to help out and watch you all battle it out.
  24. A friend of mine imported one of these last year. He sold it for 25k. 1972 model. It had an L28 with triple solex's. Was a very unique car! Love the flares!
  25. Well thanks for all the advice. I finally took my car to centreline on monday for the wheel allignment. Turns out all the camber and caster bushings were stuffed, all torn and cracked, so there was no point doing an allignment with those bushes. So I lashed out and spent some cash with whiteline adjustable camber and caster bushes. $800 all up with allignment so a fair bit more than I expected but a huge improvement in steering feel and the car rides a lot better now. He said he gave me a SAU member discount although I don't know how much it was. I dealt with Chris mostly and he was helpful but the older guy (Glen I think?) was a cranky old bastard. Now I gotta just get some new tyres and I'm all set for DECA. See you all there.
