Yeah I miss the smell of 2 strokes... I'm in for an SAU ride!
  3. You get more than 5-6 runs. That's roughly how many runs I saw each car do in the 2 hours I was there. But yeah I know what you mean...
  4. What's the back way?
  5. No name, no gender. It's just my car.
  6. I'm going up on saturday morning. Meet at shell at 6:00? Anyone else?

There are always people wanting second hand riding gear for when they're just starting. Mine are getting a bit worn out and if they were size 10 i'd be interested. Ebay might be a good spot to offload them if you want a bit of cash back...

Go the fox boots. I have some old fox ones. Well know brand. O'neal would still do the job fine though. There is so much mark up on brand name boots. $300 mark is good quality without the big name tag and price! I just ride with mates but there are heaps of people that run tours. might be the way if you don't have many people to ride with. Never ride alone if you can help it. don't want to get stranded! Check out trail bike magazines. Bit of info about tours and club rides etc. but yeah I just ride with mates, I've never done a tour or club event.

I came off going about 60-70 k's easter last year and broke my ankle. I had a pin put in it and I've got a nice scar to show for it! I was off work for a month but I had heaps of leave and that just covered it. It's all about riding within your capabilities and pushing it just a little bit to improve without stacking hard! Heaps of great places to ride around melbourne. HEAPS!

You can get the book from most dirt bike shops. Where are you from? I'm in Doncaster East and I go to ringwood for all my spares. The books will be in some of the shops there. I bought mine from Bikemart and I get all my spares from Scotty's dirt bike spares.

Nice work!!! I've been riding trail bikes for about 2-3 years and it is the best way to clear your mind. So much fun. Just forget about everything and it's just you and the trail. Great way to unwind, unless if you have a big stack... I've got a Yamaha too but I bought mine for almost the opposite reason. Mine only has recreational registration because it's only $60 a year which allows you to ride on any trail that is not a 'main road' in vic. I had a trail bike road registered but rego came for $360 a year and i thought stuff that, rec reg for me. But yeah almost completely opposite. it's a 2003 YZF450. basically a track bike but I have found that it's still great on the trail even with only a 4 speed gearbox. It has 55kW standard and I have put a mellow/quite pipe on it and a 8 ounce flywheel weight to smooth out the power. otherwise say goodbye to your arms, the bike will rip them off your body. It pulls mono's in every gear up till about 80-90 but when do you need to go 100 in the bush!!! 80 is fast enough. but yeah. I'll attatch a pic. Now... where are you going to ride? I recommend buying 2 books. weekend warriors 1 and 2. Shows all the good places to ride around melb. Enjoy it! The other pic was when me and some mates were mucking around in a mud pit. I spend 7 hours cleaning it afterwards!!!
  13. Good info Troy. Someone make it a sticky.
  14. What would be the better choice? Are the R33 GTST calipers generally cheaper? I'm looking at fitting either of these to a R32 GTST. Would the 2mm difference in rotors just be compensated by brake pad travel? thanks
  15. I have found this thread useful with thinking about a brake upgrade. It would be great as a sticky and would answer a few questions. Just knowing the stats of rotor diameter/thickness and the calipers. Who makes these sticky's?? It would be great to compile this info into one thread. Russell
  16. I probably won't be able to make it. I'm working in Sheparton and Kyabram all this week. Wonder if I can get a few laps of the long wang...
  17. bump
  18. That's what I thought... Thanks guys.
  19. I am hoping to come and watch. I haven't been to sandown for quite a while and I would like to know which entrance people use and are spectators free to walk around the pit and above pits areas? thanks, Russ
  20. Hey mate. Are you selling just the control unit or the whole thing? Does anybody know if this will connect up to a HKS EVC 3 system. I have everything except the control unit. It got stolen off the docks. thanks, Russell
  21. It goes pretty late. About 11 or so? I've never stayed till the end. How many runs depends on how many people go. Last time I was there for like 2 or so hours and each driver would have had about 5-6 runs at the corners. roughly. It was really slow last time and I think they realised that it needed to be improved. I'm going to watch at least one more time to see if it's worth it before I enter. Last time I don't think it would've been. And yes, same course every time. Links 2 smaller corners and one big one. Russell
  22. Thanks anyway mate but can't afford that plus would have to pay postage as well. Good luck with sale.
  23. It was a factory option from new and many people bought them from nissan afterward and fitted them. I have heard that Nissan japan sold out of the R32 ones in like 1994. If you can get one. keep it. They sell for quite a lot of money. Mine car has one but the illuminous strip behind it has stopped working (it lights up)
  24. Try these guys? They'll answer all your questions
  25. How many k's has the diff done?
