  1. People cant drive. There is no such thing as a talented everyday driver. the fact people learn how to drive from their parents in most cases, is the most god damn rediculous thing ever. Why should anyone be able to teach this important skill when they have no idea what they are teaching. The scariest thing about instructing people how to drive around a track fast is realising that i drive on the road with them. 95% of people have never pushed the brake pedal to the floor. most people who get the car into a slide have no idea what to do and in most cases they are oblivious to whats happening around them. And these are people who have an interest in driving! My point is people cant drive, and no matter how many restrictions are placed on speed, modification and age, there will always be the underlying fact that most people have no idea what they are doing and until everyone is put through a decent driver training course (not that simple murcotts stuff where you do a few stops at sandow) we will not see the death toll come down. It hasnt yet. Condolences to the families.
  2. IMO keep grip as the main event. You dont get breaks in the middle of drift events to have a sprint session. and an event like this shouldnt need any other support as it will be able to hold its own. And in regards to drifters, make them welcome but blend them in, no seperation. hell, the only difference between my car and the common drift car is how much i wind in the stiffness. (and in a lot of cases 200kw)
  3. na, its ok. apparently we get free entry for making that vid, thats what snowy promised.
  4. Micolour. if you want it done properly.
  5. top effort on your trip guys! Haha, street car that turns up to the show and shine on the back of a truck?! You have the perfect set up to strip that car right back and make it a track whore. I think this sort of event could lead to something big here. It would be great to get 'sprints' out there even more. As for tyres, i think there should be no class for 'street' tyres for a big event like this. Simplify the classes to drive type and a levels of tuning. Semis arent THAT much more than some good streets anyway. however, i can see there being a clear advantage stepping up from semi's to full slicks. hell, just make it Re55's as a controlled tyre. look forward to seeing this happen! Edit: djr81, you are on the money
  6. oh yeah. its on. hopefully its no 40 billion degrees again. if you want to meet people and see them at their finest then this is the event! 'mavcare'. need not say anymore.
  7. Oh its on! I worked hard for that show and shine trophy! I sabotaged your car at sandown, got do-luck sent interstate, busted kaz's motor and paid Dane off so i could win this one! Mauahaha! I hope you win something so i can boo back!
  8. Will be there with pants on!
  9. haha box. Go dorifto class. That is the least ive ever had to do to win something! yay! Good work with the the day though, was tops. Loved the BBQ team Sexpo.
  10. As far as i know cams has nothing to do with organising motakhanas. it will be organised by a car club which you would usually have to be a member of. As for car prep, with a big car you need it to be stiff so you can slide in tight spots. just turning will be useless in such a big car. i use a drift button which makes life easier, and if your diff openwheels at all it can make it frustrating as Duncan pointed out.
  11. hah, $2 ftw. i could do it for 1 dollar if it would take 50c peices.
  12. Thanks Rob. What did you do? And i have been working hard today:

we just had our mad rush. the plasma is now water-cooled thanks to some great leaks in the roof and the back yard is an underwater wonderland.
  20. i got a screw in one of my spare tyres i put on at deca before i left. luckily mine didnt get punctured though. Good vid mat. We need a super slow mo of the finish there. i cant call it.
  21. Was it his car or another one that looked the same that was the pace car for indy?
  22. Thanks to all the people who make this event work so well. It was an interesting Deca with a few different elements to contend with this time, the two biggest being the sun and all those damn flies.. It was clear to see the effect it was having on everyones ability to remember where to go. It will be interesting to see how many, if any, did every event perfectly. Good fun none the less! Bring on next year.
  23. Funny about that^^
  24. Looks like there may not be another 'next time gadget'. id call you a cheater, but it is just not true.. RWD ftw.
