  1. Get a compression test done and get a mechanic to see if everything is in order.
  2. Stock probably around 15 seconds. Do a search.
  3. They don't change the light assembly - therefore R34 GTT/GTR headlight units are meant for HID bulb light output. (They even have the XENON label imprinted on the reflector).
  4. yeah got me damnit

  6. Rant, rave and threaten them with ACCC action? <- I'm not condoning this by the way However if what Mr Italy! said is true and they say they threw them out as they were legally obliged to do so, then you maybe shit outta luck.
  7. The morning after A guy wakes up in the morning with the most terrible hangover ever. When he finally manages to open both his eyes, the first he sees is a tube of aspirin tablets and a glass of water on the bedside table. He sits on the edge of the bed and there are his clothes, neatly folded and set. He then takes a look around the room and notices that everything is perfectly clean and neat. He takes some aspirin and sees a post-it note left on the table: "Darling, your breakfast is ready in the kitchen. I love you." The guy is surprised and does not really know what to think. He heads for the kitchen only to find his breakfast ready and smelling good with the newspaper next to his bowl on the table. His son is at the table too, having his breakfast. The man says: "Son, what exactly happened yesterday?" The son: "Oh well, you came back home totally wasted at about 3:00am. You accidentally hit and broke some furniture, threw up in the corridor, punched mum in the face thinking that you were being attacked by wolves..." The dad: "Then how do you explain that everything is cleaned up and neat and breakfast and all the rest is taken care of?" The son: "Well, when mum dragged you to the bedroom to put you in bed and tried to take off your pants, you told her : get off me and leave me alone bitch, I am married."
  8. Put your foot down These are YOUR parts from YOUR car. Why the hell should he charge you money for something that's rightfully yours? I suggest you tell him you will go to the ACCC if you don't get them back.
  9. Spotted SAM-88X silver R33 going onto M2 this morning.
  10. Easiest way (if you have a FMIC that uses the 'over the top' piping route): Cut a 80mm hole in the airbox near the bottom. Get piping that extends from the airbox hole to the hole left vacant by removal of the stock SMIC piping. Extend piping so it takes in air from the front. CAI completed.
  11. From http://forums.overclockers.com.au (you need to register to enter the forums). I suggest your friend get his headlights properly aimed/aligned ASAP.

  15. Well they've had Evos since the 8...
  16. 1995+ Eclipses were made only in LHD configuration. Not sure about the model before though.
  17. All true but I'm guessing that although it will exceed the sound over the legal limit, it will do so less than a loud tincan style exhaust so the chances that you get pulled over will be less (less noticeable sound output)? Also, are there separate dB limits for idle and WOT?
  18. No I'm sorry Richard I did't get any pics of the Alfa! All the photos on my site are all I've got.
  19. You bought your no-name exhaust from Joe's Mufflers Person B goes and buys a no-name exhaust from Steve's Mufflers You have a quiet system and Person B has a loud system yet both are no-name. Person B then has his exhaust system start rusting even though he asked for 'stainless steel'. Unless Joe's Mufflers starts mass-producing your perfect no-name system how else can anyone get the exact same thing? Buying brandname means you're buying something that is standardised and has passed through quality control - you know what the product's results will be, you have warranty and you have peace of mind.
  20. Sound. You buy a cheapie exhaust and it's bloody loud. You get pulled over for it and have to deal with all the problems that come with a defect/noise/emissions notice. You buy a more expensive JDM made exhaust (eg the Fujitsubo Legalis) that sounds nearly as quiet as stock. You don't attract unwanted attention with the exhaust noise and it may in the end possibly save your car from being pulled over and defected.
  21. Have you actually tried this? I couldn't open my switch box (even after I unscrewed all the visible screws) when I tried.
